THE BAKER'S DAUGHTER [PART 2] - LUKE imagine

You woke up in the bed you'd been sleeping in for the past week, duck feather pillows and layers of warm blankets covering your shivering body. The bed sometimes got too hot and sweaty, but the good kind as the prince slept peacefully next to you.

The week inside the castle allowed you to finally put trust into someone. Luke understood your fear of people even though you hadn't said a word about what occured those few days underground; he never left your side and would shield you from anyone who had to approach him. He treated you like you'd know him your whole life and it made you smile.

You shuffled in Luke's arms slightly considering his grip was deathly, holding onto you and protecting you from potential evil lurking in the kingdom. The soft snores leaving his mouth were rhythmic and soothing, and many nights you fell asleep to them along side the small breaths on the back of your neck.

"Y/N stop moving." Luke grumbled, licking his lips and not once opening his eyes. You giggle slightly at the deep rough voice he was sporting.

"Sorry." You whisper, moving a few blonde strands of hair away from his eyes. However, the short peace was disrupted by a rather loud knock on the door.

"Your Highness, I'm awfully sorry to wake you." A voice called, the voice was deep and manly and it made you snuggle into Luke a little more.

"What is it?" Luke shouted back, wrapping his arms securely round your body.

"The King has news regarding the Queens, my Prince. Your brothers will be joining you this morning. The meeting is at 11am and the King says I must bring you and potentially drag you out of bed."

"Fine, give me 10 minutes." Luke called back. The other voice seemed to have stopped which made you sigh in relief.  

"I gotta get up." Luke groaned swinging his legs from the bed and walking over to the wardobes housing his rich velvet and silk clothes.  You breathed in the warmth he left behind before walking over to the other wardrobe where Luke insisted your newly made dresses would stay.

You pulled out your favourite, it was a soft olive green material that had a small train but only enough to make it pool at your feet. The sleeves were extremley loose and made you move your arms freely and the corset squeezing you in never suffocated you. Lila had taught you how to have loose curls and a braid over your hair so that you could walk around without being questioned who you were. Under the Queen's request, the dress was paired with black small heeled shoes that gave you more height.

Luke went off into his bathroom whilst you rapidly changed in the bedroom. The faint sound of the water running made you relax as you finished getting ready to accompany Luke on his duties, something you enjoyed.

By the time you were completly dressed, Luke finally entered the bedroom with a crown on his usual blonde quiffed hair as well as a red robe over black skinny trousers and a white shirt buttoned up to the top. The prince wore a pair of black boots on his feet and had his sword secured around his waist in the sword belt.

"Looking very prince like today." You smirked.

"I have to wear all this if I have a meeting with the King and Queen, it's ridiculous. They're my parents." He scoffed, pulling at his crown that had alright slipped down one side.

"Come on." You smiled, tugging at his hand.

"Slow down tiger." He grinned as you walked into the hall. "Y/N, you kinda got to act royal today, alright?"

"Yep." You smiled and you began taking even strides and your posture perfect, like Luke had lectured you about a few times.

The castle was filled with maids speed walking through the halls in order to fulfill their duties to please the royal family. The butlers and knights often moved out of the way when you walked past after Luke recently explaining your bizarre fear of men, which in reality isn't bizarre.
