"God Y/N it still amazes me how insanely in love with you I am."

Calum leaned back in his chair, one arm slung over the back, and watched me with an almost dazed look on his face. He had a small, natural smile gracing his face and my cheeks heated up slightly at the intense look he was giving me. I couldn't help but feel giddy as he looked at me with such love and as if I were the most beautiful girl in the world.

I took a sip of champagne and traced my fingers along the rim of the glass., "Well I'd hope you love me considering we've been dating seven years today. If not, well then, things are about to get really awkward."

He chuckled and shook his head. He reached his hand across the table and I laced my fingers with his. I rested my chin in my hand and took the time to admire my boyfriend from across the table. His white dress shirt and perfectly fit black blazer contrasted nicely against his caramel skin and made his golden brown eyes stand out even more. His hair was longer than usual, allowing his curls to show and slightly hang over his forehead.

Calum squeezed my hand and whispered, "I can't believe it's been seven years already."

I smiled and ran my thumb over his knuckles, "I know right, it's all gone by so fast. Happy anniversary babe."

"Happy anniversary love. Speaking of which I actually have something for you. Close your eyes babe."

I groaned but closed my eyes anyways, "Babe I thought we agreed no presents this year."

I heard Calum rustling around for something in his pockets and place something in front of me. He chuckled and said, "Yes but when do I ever listen to you."

I smiled knowing how utterly true that was.

"Alright baby go ahead and open your eyes."

I opened my eyes and looked to see what was in front of me.

Sitting on the white tablecloth was a small velvet box.

My hand flew to my mouth and I felt the tears well up in my eyes. I looked up at Calum and he was biting his lower lip trying to control his smile.

Finally, after seven years, it was happening.

"Well aren't you gonna open it?"

I took a deep breath and with shaky hands I picked up the small, delicate box.

"Oh my god I can't believe this is happening." I muttered.

I gently opened the box up and my jaw dropped.

"Oh. My. God. Calum! I hate you!"

Calum couldn't contain his smile and threw his head back, bursting with laughter.

I stared at the diamond earrings in the velvet. They were absolutely gorgeous but not exactly what I had in mind.

I stood up from the table, "No screw you Calum. We have been dating for seven years. Seven years Calum! How have you not proposed yet dude?!"

With the amount of noise me and Calum are making we started getting looks from everyone else in the restaurant, but at this point I didn't care all that much.

I leaned my head back, eyes screwed shut, and rubbed my temples. My hands covered my face and laughed, "Baby I love the earrings they're gorgeous so I'm keeping them, but c'mon now you're just teasing me with these velvet boxes."

That's when I noticed Calum had stopped laughing and he said, "So you want a ring?"

I ran a hand through my hair and opened my eyes to look at the ceiling, "Yes Calum of course I want a ring."

"Well then look down."

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion and my eyes snapped open. I looked down and noticed Calum kneeling in front of me on one knee. In his hand was yet another velvet box. Except this time it had the most beautiful engagement ring I had ever seen.

I gasped and my hands flew to my mouth. Tears welled up in my eyes and I looked down at Calum with more love than I could've ever imagined. He held out his hand and I placed mine in his, while my other hand held my chest.

'Y/N Y/M/N Y/L/N will you-", Calum started.

"Yes! Oh my god yes!." I knelt down in front of Calum and kissed him deeply. When I pulled away he slipped the ring on my finger and kissed me again.

Everyone in the restaurant started cheering and I buried my face in Calum's chest.

He ran his fingers through my hair and laughed, "You didn't even let me finish my question."

I smiled, "Baby I've been dreaming of you asking that question for years now. Trust me, I was more than ready to say yes."

Calum leaned his forehead against mine and whispered, "Good, because I love you so much and couldn't imagine life without you."

I kissed Calum tenderly and muttered against his lips, "I love you too and I'm yours forever babe."
