You'd never felt more alone in your whole life. The chest of drawers and wardrobes barricading yourself in one of the smallest guest rooms to defend yourself from evil lurking in the palace's corridors. You still wore the olive green dress that never itched your skin but you'd kicked the black heeled shoes under the single bed which was pushed up against purple painted walls with gold details littering the surface delicately.

After Luke had hurt you, Lila managed to break through the locked door leading into the Prince's room and she convinced Luke to stand against the opposite wall in order for you to leave without feeling much threat. Lila wanted to take you into the room opposite but your body had other ideas and sprinted off until you found this room, as far away from Luke as possible.

A knock wrapped on the door and you used all your force to push the chest of drawers against the door so no one could get in.

"Miss Y/N?" A voice called, an unknown female voice. "Your meal is outside your door, Miss."

You looked out the window and found that the sun was setting and your stomach rumbled. You'd not been eating properly, scared that Luke might become like the man underground.. Like the man who'd pinned you down and brought out your fear of men in the first place alongside your father.

You waited for a few minutes until you heard the footsteps of the mystery voice get further away and you began to shuffle the chest out of the way of the door, as quietly as possible. You twisted the door knob and peeked out the door to see a tray of different vegetables with steaming hot soup and crunched breadsticks. There was a glass of water along side it that made you realise how dry your mouth was.

You pulled to door open a little and peered around, checking to see if anyone was in the corridor. You confirmed it to be clear and you stepped into the corridor and picked up the tray of food before hearing a voice that you thought you'd never have to hear again.

"Hello sweetheart." You turned and saw the guard who'd taken away your innocence, your youth and trust in people - the face that towered over you while you were tied down on a flat wooden table as people cheered him on.

You felt yourself begin to shake but no words rolled off your tongue, instead you stood there in horror, grasping your tray of food for dear life.

"Never knew I'd fuck someone into royalty." He said, making his way slowly towards your frozen body.  "Sweet body, yours. Blissful. The way your skin felt, the way you felt." The guard had a smirk on his face, knowing of his own crimes and the effect it left on you.

"S-stay away." You said, trying to be confident but you knew it only made him continue his torture as he got closer and closer to your previous safe haven.

"Alright then sweetheart, you have a 5 second head start." He smirked. "1.. 2.."

As soon as he said 2, you'd dropped your food and began to run, darting through corridors that were abandoned as it was past working hours. You could hear the angry footsteps bang behind you so you turned back to see the guard rounding the last corner you turned but as you rounded the next, you ran straight into a hard chested person.

"I'm sorry I-" You tried to apologise quickly as you looked behind but the person you'd ran into grabbed both of your arms.

"Y/N? What's wrong?" You look up to see the ocean blue eyes of a boy that you once trusted.

"I-" You were cut off when Luke shoved you behind him when the guard rounded the corner and grinded to a halt when he saw Luke.

"My Prince." The guard bowed elegantly at the Prince. "The Miss here was causing ruckus and I was asked to stop her." You pushed yourself against Luke and shook your head so he knew he was lying.
