"Alright Luke, if we try that last verse again but with a higher pitch on the last note, alright?" Dan, the studio manager, says.

"Yep, set me up again." Luke answers from behind the glass as he shuffles on the spot ready to preform the note properly.

You often came to the studio with the boys, but today your anxiety was playing up and were having to stay close to one of them at all times. Currently, Ashton had his feet on your lap as he scrolled through his phone, occasionally glancing up from the electronic device to check that you were alright.

Calum and Michael were playing FIFA in the room next door as they had finished their parts for the day. The pair were reluctant to leave you but after you assurance that Ashton was going to be there with you, they dashed off claiming who was who's team.

"Y/N?" You stop staring at the window and turn your attention to the drummer as he looked at you worried.

"Mhm?" You say.

"Is everything ok?" Ash seemed hesitant to ask but he did, knowing that if you weren't alright you would tell him. The boys were like your brothers and they protected you like you were their sister - and you couldn't be more happy with the way your friendship worked.

"Yeah." You smile at Ashton who still looked at you worriedly.

"Alright Luke, that's a wrap! Good job!" Dan shouts through the glass, holding his thumbs up to the blonde quiffed boy on the other side. Luke comes out from the booth with a toothy grin and flops on the sofa next to you.

"I'm going to die from sleepyness, Y/N." Luke whines and leans his head on your shoulder.

"Luke get off her, for God's sake." Ashton snaps.

"It's alright Ash." You smile. "He's not doing any harm." Luke pokes his tongue out at Ashton as he snuggles back into your side while Ashton moans.

"We gotta head off boys." You turn your head to see 5SOS' security man, Charlie, at the door with his black outfit on and a walkie talkie on his waistbelt.

"Ok." Ash smiles, standing up with you and Luke following close behind. You left the studio booth and walked down the corridor before Calum ran up the corridor and stopped you.

"You can't go yet." He gasped for air, clearly running quite a way to talk to you.

"What do you mean, Calum?" You laugh. "Let's go."

"No!" He stopped you again.

"Calum, mate, what the fuck are you doing?" Ashton groaned while Luke mumbling about his stupid band behind you. Calum rubbed the back of his head and swallowed hard, trying to figure out the words before he said any.

"There are about 500 fans outside..." He mumbled. The number made you take a sharp inhale and stumble back into Ashton.

"Shit." He said. "Y/N, we'll stay here for a little longer, it will be ok."

"No, let's go home." You try to put on a brave smile. "We can wait it out?" Calum said.

"Me, Mikey and Luke will go and distract them while you two wait here for a bit?"You shook your head.

"I just want to go, guys."

"Alright." Luke smiled. Ashton was always the one to stay with you when things like this happened. It wasn't a secret that he was much more broader and muscular than the other guys and he could easily lift you if your anxiety turned into a panic attack. He was also sweet and kind, knowing how to handle the people around you and you yourself, knowing how to get people to move and how to keep you calm. When Ashton wrapped his arm around you were more than happy to snuggle into his side of safety.

When you'd come out of the lift the fans roared and screamed, banging on the glass windows.

"Michael is already in the car, Luke we're going to take you out and then get you guys after." Charlie said, indicating you, Ash and Calum to stay still.

Luke walked to the door and opened it before the fans started pushing forwards, enclosing Luke in a gap. He seemed modest about it and he kindly got everyone to move with the help of Charlie but that didn't settle your insecurities. Cal and Ash were talking as you tried to control your breathing, desperately not trying to look at the sea of fans banging violently on the windows, stamping their feet and recording you on their iPhones.

You managed to have some control over your breathing by the time Charlie came back and said it was your turn. You tried to compose yourself the best you could as you stood behind Charlie and Ashton and in front of Calum.

"Let's go." Charlie said, opening the door. His 'move out the way's were muffled by the high pitch screaming and people pulling at your clothing.

Your hair was being grabbed as Calum tried to ask them to get off of you as nicely as he could. You were about 1/3 of the way through the crowds when the tightness in your chest became almost unbearable and your breathing was quick and shallow. You stopped walking and started shuffling backwards, wanting to get back inside the safety of the studio before Calum turned you around.

"Y/N? Y/N, is everything alright?" He tried to get your attention but you ignored him as you tried to get back into the studio.

"Ash!" You heard Calum shout but your tears began clouding your vision as you tried to escape Calum's grasp in order to get back inside.

You felt more hands trying to grab you and some rationality inside you made you grab Calum's shirt and try and hide yourself inside him. Another set of hands tried to take you from Calum. These hands were much bigger but you still hid in the Kiwi boy.

"It's alright Y/N, it's Ashton. He's gonna get you out from here." Calum whispered in your ear, carefully handing over your shaking body to Ashton who picked you up bridal style and maneuvered his way through the crowds.

After what seemed like hours, Ashton finally reached the black van with you in his arms and he put you on one of the chairs and he sat on the floor opposite as the door shut, Calum taking a seat next to you.

The van started to move out of the fans and you finally began using your hearing again and you tuned Ashton's deep voice.

"Y/N, come on babe, listen to my voice." You finally responded by gasping Ashton's name desperately.

"It's alright babe. Put your head between your legs and take deep breaths." Ashton instructed. He knelt infront of you on the car floor rubbing your back, knowing it was a way to comfort you.

"You're alright Y/N.. Shh, it's ok now." You finally began catching your breath again and the rattle in your chest subsided leaving you to calm down.

"Thanks Ashton." Your voice was raspy from the deep breathing but you didn't care.

"We'll always be here for you love." Michael smiled.

"Always." Luke nudged Michael as he grinned at you.
