"Shit," Tanaka grumbled as he stood with Hinata, glaring at Oikawa's back.
"He's tricky," Crow muttered as he passed the two of them. "But so are we."
"Oh," They looked a bit surprised before they smiled. "Right!"
"Matsukawa, serve up another one!" Seijoh called as the middle did just that.
"Nishinoya!"
"Right!" The libero received the ball, causing Hinata to rush in as usual.
"Send it my way!" He yelled and jumped. The other side seemed to think it was going to Tanaka, but then their eyes were drawn to Asahi in the backrow as he also started his approach. And then, Kageyama dumped.
"Sly bastard," Crow smirked slightly as the team got their first point. Thus, Kageyama rotated to the serving position, and suddenly the venue got a lot louder.
"LET'S GO-GUH-GO-GO CROW!"
"CROW-SAMA IS UP FRONT!"
"YOU GOT THIS CROW-SAMA!"
"You're still as popular as ever," Tanaka teased as the ravenette deadpanned.
"Apparently."
"Kageyama, nice serve!" Daichi called as the whistle signalled the serve. Kageyama threw the ball up and did his approach, only for him to serve it out.
"Shake it off."
"I'm sorry!"
"Don't get so excited."
"All right," Oikawa was suddenly back and ready to serve the ball in his hand. "Maybe I should show you how its done." With that, the whistle was blown and the setter threw the ball up and served it over. It went straight to Nishinoya, who got it up beautifully.
"Send it to me!" Hinata ran for a freak quick. Glancing at Tanaka on the right side, Kageyama sent it to Hinata and got the point.
"Yes!"
"Good!"
"A bit too jerky to have been affective on a normal attack diversion," Crow told Kageyama. "But good job for incorperating it."
"Thank you! I'll do better," the first year promised, so the ravenette patted his shoulder.
"Good, cause we're counting on you."
"Right!"
"Tanaka, get a good one!"
"You know it!"
The next play ended with a quick from Kindaichi right in the middle of the court. Crow's eyebrows shot upwards, looks like someone was holding out on us. Everyone else seemed to think so as well, considering their mutterings about it and Kageyama's pained face.
"Iwa-chan, nice serve!"
"Nice receive Crow!"
"Give me a set!" Hinata yelled as he went in, but Kageyama sent it to the outside. Asahi got the point, and then Seijoh suddenly called a time out at Oikawa's word.
"Have they already figured it out?" Suga looked surprised as he, Kageyama, Hinata and Crow listened in on Aoba Johsai's huddle.
"Damn they're fast."
"Oi!" Nishinoya bumped his fist against Kageyama's chest as Tanaka grabbed the first year's shoulder. "Why so serious? That's not like you!"
"I beg to differ, Noya-san," Tanaka grinned. "This is how he normally looks. He makes this face when he dithers between milk and drinking yogurt."
"You...I..That isn't true!" The setter denied as the two snickered.
"But Noya-san, I really am amazed you managed to receive that serve!" The outside hitter commented.
"I've received that serve before back in junior high," He replied, glancing at the person responsible for that serve. "It really was an amazing serve when it made it through, guess that's why Crow's serve is so awesome!" He slapped the ravenette on the back with a grin, causing him to wince slightly.
With that said, the two teams returned to the court. It was Hinata's serve, but he only managed to serve one before Seijoh scored. "Bleagh!" He cried as the ball shanked off of him.
"What is bleagh supposed to mean?!" Kageyama demanded with an excessive growl.
"Never look down even if you mess up!" Tanaka told the ginger as he slapped him on the back.
"Ow!"
"Heads up," Crow and the others got ready to receive as Kindaichi served. Asahi went to pass it, but the ball shanked off his arms.
"Sorry, I'll get the next one!"
"Shake it off!"
The same thing happened again, only the shank was off in the other direction. The time after that, however, Asahi redeemed himself and got the ball up nicely. "Nice recieve!" Kageyama called as he got under the ball. Setting it to Crow, the ravenette slammed the ball on the line.
"Yeah!"
"Nice one Crow!"
"You're scary accurate sometimes, man."
"Nice kill Crow-san!" Kageyama said, so Crow peaced at him in return.
"All thanks to you, dude. Have fun in the front," He patted him on the shoulder as he moved to go serve. He didn't even need to look at the bench to see what Keishin was telling him to serve. Right at the whistle, Crow threw up the ball and float served it at where Oikawa was coming up from the back, exactly like they had done to them.
That got Karasuno a grand total of four aces in a row before Aoba Johsai got the point back, meaning they were tied at 9s. That changed at the next point with Tanaka scoring over a triple block. "YES!" He and Noya thundered.
"Boo-ya!" Hinata joined in.
"Looks like we're ahead again! Woohoo!"
"Boo-boo-ya!"
"You're so perky~" Oikawa mused for a moment before his expression deviated. "That's what makes you so annoying."
Soon, the serve went over, and the ball was sent back. "Give it to me!" Hinata yelled, so Kageyama set him a normal quick, only for Kindaichi to be there waiting for him. Luckily, Hinata fibbed it over the net and somehow got the point for it. Crow sweatdropped, luck is also a skill I suppose.
"Kageyama, nice serve!"
"One point!"
"Take it easy," Crow called back to him, causing the setter to pause to nod at him. Thus, he threw the ball and started his approach, however the ball was too far forward so he had to adjust. It got over and gave Seijoh some trouble, but the vengeful Oikawa wasn't going to let him get away with it.
"I won't let you get your chance that easily!" He smirked as he set the ball at Karasuno's setter to force him to get first. However, unlike his expectations, Kageyama wasn't flustered by getting the first ball. In fact, he received it and sent it straight to Crow.
"Nice!" Keishin yelled from the sideline.
"SEND IT TO ME!" Hinata shouted, running in like he was being chased by something terrifying. No one thought it would go to him, not a soul in that venue. However, at the pinnacle of his jump, the ball connected with his hand.
