Just as everyone was dreading, exams arrived. However, it wasn't long until they were over, and everyone could take a breath of fresh air. Crow, as usual, was not worried about his scores. His injuries had mostly healed, so he was allowed to do ground work but no jumping yet. Thus, he was mostly being used as the opposite libero to Nishinoya whenever they played sixes.

That day, the start of practice was a little different. "It's so hot..."

"It's just for a little while," Suga reassured as best he could as everyone rathered around. "Come on, you too Tsukishima. Come here! Line up!"

"So," Daichi addressed the team with Yachi standing at his side. "We've finished our finals, and starting today, Yachi-san will officially be joining us as our manager." He announced, giving Kiyoko headway to present the girl with her own team jacket.

"Here," She smiled as she gave it to her, watching as Yachi's entire face glowed at her new possession.

"Ready, and--" Daichi called, causing everyone to turn around and jab their thumbs at the writing on the back of their own jackets.

"Welcome to the Karasuno High School Volleyball Team!" They beamed at her, causing the new addition to the team to look like she was about to cry.

"I look forward to being your manager!" She exclaimed, bowing back to them.

"All right," Daichi got back on track. "The Tokyo away games are coming up. All that's left is for our exam results, and Crow to finish healing up," Everyone shot a pointed look at the ravenette, who looked unbothered with his arms crossed. With that, practice was dismissed and Crow was dragged to Kiyoko's house.

"You look okay," Kiyoko inspected all of the wounds on the ravenette's body, all of which had healed. The bad ones had scarred, but that wasn't worth worrying about at that moment. "Let's put ointment on them and bandage them up for one last day, and then you can take them off before we leave for the Tokyo games."

"Sounds good," Crow gave his consent, so that's what Kiyoko did. It took a chunk of time, but soon the ravenette was all bandaged and set to go. When Kiyoko's parents invited him to stay for dinner, however, he declined, saying he had somewhere he needed to be.

As he walked away from the house, Crow took out his phone to check his messages again, specifically one. It was the old man Ukai, who was still in the hospital. That status hadn't affected his ability to get news, or to contact him. He expressed that he knew about Tenma's death and that if Crow didn't stay at Ukai's house, that he'd hunt him down and drag him there himself.

The lunatic would do it too, Crow sighed as he put his phone back in his pocket. Thus, he was on his way to the old man's house to make sure Ukai did not, in fact, break out of the hospital to track him down. Eventually, the ravenette arrived and took out his key, unlocking the door and stepping inside. He took a second to breathe in the familiar scent, then put his things down and took off his shoes.

Raiding the pantry and whatever was in the freezer and refrigerator, Crow managed to eat a good meal before he headed to bed, considering he'd have to get up early to make it to school on time since it took a train ride to get near Karasuno High from the geezer's house. He could have also gotten there by car, but that would require him to have a car and driver, neither of which were in his possession.

The next day, he got his exam results. "Not terrible," He murmured to himself, looking over the papers and the scores on top. There was one subject he got a 91 on and one at 84, but all of his other exams were in the lower 70s. He didn't have any reason to complain, so he just packed them away in his bag.

The surprise came in the clubroom. Kageyama and Hinata had both failed one exam each: Modern Literature at 38 for Kageyama and English at 21 for Hinata.

"This is how awesome..." Noya held up his exams, presenting that he was just above the failing mark.

"Your senpais are!" Tanaka did the same, and then they posed like they had won the lottery. Crow sweatdropped at them as he leaned on the wall beside the door with his arms crossed.

"You both barely got over the 40 points needed to pass," Suga deadpanned at them as he changed, causing them to quickly bugger off and get to changing themselves. "Huh? Hinata, you failed English? But you were so confident," the setter commented as he saw the score.

"Apparently," Tsukishima spoke, being the one to hold the papers. "He figured out right before time was up that he'd filled in all his answers off by one."

"Majika?" Asahi glanced over at him from the ground beside Crow. "Too bad Ono-Sensei, the English teacher, won't let things like that slide."

"Yachi-san was really shocked by it too," Yamaguchi added, recounting how she had practically been crying from frustration.

"In Kageyama's case, the issue was Modern Literature," Daichi said as he looked at the exam.

"Apparently, there were a lot of reading comprehension questions this time around," Ennoshita pointed out. "But he'd concentrated on memorization when he studied."

"Whoa," Asahi blinked as he got a look at the paper. "He got a perfect score on the kanji section, dang."

"Well, don't be too discouraged," Suga said. "We'll have more away games later, so--"

"How are we gonna get to Tokyo?" Kageyama demanded. "Should we run?"

"Nah, we need bikes," Hinata flared up, causing everyone within the vicinity to sweatdrop.

"Oi, you two," Tanaka called, making the two failures look up at him as he smirked. "You guys only failed one test, right?" He confirmed before going on. "You should be able to finish retaking it in the morning. After that, I'll call in your savior."
