Because Shinzen was given the first serve, Karasuno's lineup was as follows: Asahi in serving position, Tsukishima in position two, Sugawara in position three, Tanaka in position four, Crow in five and Daichi in six. This way, Crow would be rotating to the front once they scored.
Meanwhile, Kenma's eyes were on the ravenette, his eyebrows furrowing since it didn't make sense that he was playing middle. But then again, without Hinata there, having someone else filling that spot would be counter productive. Maybe it was just because the pudding head thought that Crow was more suited to being a wing spiker that it was putting him off to see him being used elsewhere.
"Oh boy," Bokuto suddenly whistled. "Crow's gonna be freakin' grumpy today."
"What do you mean?" Kenma glanced at him, causing the owl to huff.
"Well, from what he's told me over the phone, he hates being middle. He even admitted to sulking about it every time! Like damn, that's some dedication, amirite?" He snickered before getting serious again. "Though, even if he hates it, that guy's still probably real good at it. Shinzen's gonna be in for a rough time."
"...Yeah," The second year eventually agreed, returning his eyes to the court where Karasuno and Shinzen had started playing. Karasuno ended up getting the first point with Tanaka tooling the block, and then they rotated so that it was Tsukishima's turn to serve.
Nekoma's new addition watched with round eyes as Crow was given a quick. He jumped so high that the afternoon light made the Nekoma middle blink, which also made him miss the ravenette spiking and killing the ball. Cheers went up around Karasuno's bench and on their court, and it was then that Kenma's eyes shined.
He's so cool.

"WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO ME LIKE THAT?!"
"So you'll come sulking to me after the game."
"UH YEAH LIKE HELL I'LL DO THAT!"
"Who knows? It's sure motivating you, isn't it?"
"Are you..." Akaashi trailed off as he butted into the conversation between his ace and Crow, directing his question to the latter. "Trying to keep Bokuto-san motivated?"
"Yeah," Crow confirmed, making a thoughtful face. "Though I didn't expect it to work this well."
"It's the first time we've played each other, so of course I'm gonna go all out!" Bokuto huffed, turning his face away spitefully. "Keep 'em coming, Akaashi!"
"You got it," The setter sort of deadpanned. They were at 24s, and Karasuno had just scored by blocking the owl. But of course, Akaashi wasn't going to give up on their ace, he knew he could pull them through.
The next point went to Fukurodani, also from a block kill. And then they won the game with a shanked serve, meaning it was time for Karasuno to do a flying lap. "Hey hey hey! Nice game you guys, 'specially you Crow! Dude, how many times did you block me?! I swear, you're like everywhere!" Bokuto beamed once the losers had finished their lap, swinging an arm around the ravenette.
"You're just too predictable, maybe you should work on that," Crow poked his stomach, causing the frosty head to coil in on himself with a whine.
"Don't play dirty! I'll definitely get past you next time!"
"You mean your next dream? Yeah, sounds about right. Wait," Crow smirked slightly. "Can your mind even imagine getting around me?"
"Well duh!" The two bickered for a bit longer, Bokuto doing most of the bickering and Crow just smirking like he won when he clearly hadn't. The others around them deadpanned and/or sweatdropped, what a weird duo.
Karasuno was off for the next round, so Crow took a second to step out with his water bottle, towel and phone. Calling one of the numbers on speed dial once he was outside, the ravenette held it up to his ear. "Hello?"
"It's me."
"Crow-sama!" The only yakuza boss in southern Miyagi exclaimed. "It's wonderful to hear from you! Thank you so much for your hard work, how can we ever repay you?"
"Let's just call it a You Owe Me and leave it at that for now," Crow replied, then took a second to take a drink from his water bottle.
"Yes, of course. Please let me know whenever you might need anything and I'll be sure to help."
"Just keep doing what you're doing. My account is still the same, so you know what to do. No more than usual."
"As you wish," With that squared away, the ravenette cut the call and headed back inside. It was now Fukurodani against Nekoma and Shinzen against Ubugawa. With nothing better to do, Crow watched the two games unfold, making sure to bat away any balls that came flying at him. He found that Ubugawa was all about their serves, and Shinzen was very oriented in their combination plays.
Nekoma was the usual masters of passing, and Fukurodani was revolved around Bokuto. He was glad he hadn't seen the bird brain go into emo mode yet since that was always a bugger to deal with, on or off the court. He recalled that Bokuto had gone into emo mode for a whole day when he had told him that he was leaving the prefecture during the first days that they had met.
Fucking him senseless had done the trick, but Crow wasn't too keen on doing that while they were at this camp. One, because being discovered would be embarressing as fuck, and two, because the owl might grow expectations and be demanding, which was something Crow really did not want to deal with. There was also the fact that he didn't bring any sex stuff and didn't want to clean up any mess.
Shaking his head of the thoughts, the ravenette found that it was about time for his team to get on the move again, this time against Ubugawa high. "Alright guys," Keishin gathered the boys around him once again for another pep talk. "Just get the ball in the air. Sugawara, do your best to get to it. If you can't, yell for Crow."
"Got it," The setter nodded firmly, then sent a smile at the ravenette, who gave him a thumbs up in return. With one final cheer, the game began, and Karasuno managed to take the win at 25 to 22.
"He really can fly, huh?" Yaku muttered as he stood with his teammates.
"For real," The new addition to Nekoma's starters agreed. "It's surprising since he's so small, almost as small as you--ow!"
Yaku did not take shit from anybody, or he would steal their kneecaps. Thus, he watched with smug pride as Lev crumpled from the pain in his knees. Oh yes, Nekoma's libero was a chaotic one.
