"So, what's up?" Crow asked as he leaned against the wall with his arms crossed. The two were standing out back by the punishment hill, and anyone that could fit their head out the door was watching them. Kageyama didn't seem to notice this as he was was twiddling with his fingers and wouldn't make eye contact.
"I really am sorry about yesterday..."
"I thought we were over that," the ravenette grumbled, running a hand through his loose hair. The setter gulped, balling his hands into fists. "Look, I'm the one who did something wrong, and I apologized and said it wouldn't happen again, so--"
"The thing is," Kageyama cut him off, pursing his lips at the irritated look he was given in turn. "I don't like.. that you're avoiding me," He specified. "And I wanted to make it clear that--"
"You like me?" Crow finished boredly, making the first year's jaw drop. "Yeah, I know. I've known for a while. After having so many people pine for me, it's kind of hard to miss the signs," He sighed, leaning his head back against the wall. "So, what's the plan?"
"W-what do you--"
"Do you want something to change by saying you like me out loud? Did you want to ask me out on a date? Sorry, I don't do dates, I only do casual sex, and you're too much of a baby for that to be an option--"
"I-I can learn!" Kageyama exclaimed desperately. "Crow-sama, I don't need dates, I.. I just want to be able to touch you again.." He flexed his fingers by his side, his eyes squeezed shut. And then, they opened as Crow started laughing.
"Haha, wow," the ravenette's hand was over his face, his shoulders bouncing from his laughter. After a second, he dropped his hand and smirked at the boy in front of him. "I guess I wouldn't mind another sex partner. Come here," He held his hand out, to which Kageyama eagerly stepped forward and took hold of his hand, allowing Crow to pull him flush against him.
The first year's face burst with pink as Crow used his free hand to tilt the male's chin towards him. "The first thing I'll teach you.." He breathed, looking up at him through his lashes. Oh, that did something to Kageyama as he felt something indescribable pool in his stomach.
"That's enough of that, Crow," Keishin cleared his throat and Kageyama almost rocketed away from the ravenette, who lazily glanced at his cousin. "Don't give me that look, ya bum. Stop seducing everyone and get ready to play. And Kageyama," He called, giving the boy a once over before turning around. "Go take care of that."
Kageyama's face had never been so red as he bolted to the bathroom. "Alright, show's over people!" Keishin waved his way inside the gym, making everyone scurry back to their courts with flushed faces. Crow also came back into the gym, but he didn't look like anything had happened. Instead, the incident seemed to have relaxed him and got him back to normal. "For this first game, Crow's gonna set a six-two with Sugawara," the coach explained once everyone was rathered around.
"Yessir!" The team responded. It ended with a clutch win from Karasuno, so their next opponents were Shinzen. Kageyama made it back, so the coach announced that Crow would be setting a sex-two with him instead of Sugawara that game.
They won easier than the first, with a ten point lead. Then, during their next match with Ubagawa, Keishin had Suga and Kageyama do a six-two. Karasuno ended up losing at 20-25, so they had to do their penalty dash up the back hill. "Hey hey hey~ You ready for another one a' those?" Bokuto smirked as his team stood behind him. "You're up against us next, so get ready to run again! Hahaha!"
"Keep dreaming, princess," Crow patted him on the shoulder as he passed him, causing some of the Fukurodani boys to start cracking up as their leader huffed.
"SAYS THE PERSON THAT HAD TO BE PAMPERED ALL DAY YESTERDAY!"
"DUDE don't get Crow angry!" Tanaka and Asahi shoved their hands over the owl's mouth to prevent him from saying anything more. "He's not a fun customer when he's pissed!"
"Pffft I know that," He shooed the two away from him with a grin. "But making him mad makes him try harder! So this game might actually be a challenge, unlike yesterday haha!" He laughed, prancing off as Tanaka and Noya growled after him.
It did turn out to be a challenge, considering Fukurodani lost by three points. "DANGNAMIT CROW!" Bokuto howled, stomping aggressively towards the door to do the penalty run as the smug ravenette watched him go.
"Minna-san!" The managers suddenly called attention to themselves, and what they were carrying. "The parents from Shinzen High gave us some watermelons!"
"And this is the perfect time for me to hate watermelons," Crow sighed, looking a bit annoyed as everyone took a break to eat the specialties. Instead of also partaking, Crow found the stage and took a power nap. As the power nap turned into a light snooze, he felt someone come over. From the shade he could feel and the breathing sound, it was Tsukishima.
"I know you're awake, Crow."
"Yeah," The ravenette confirmed, opening his eyes and moving them towards the person speaking to him. "What's up, Tsukishima?"
"...Nevermind," He shook his head, about to turn and leave, but Crow caught his arm.
"Your mind is as terbulant as your eyes, and it won't get any better if you keep it to yourself. You sought me out for that reason, so talk," He said bluntly, and he swore he could see the four eyes flinch at how right he was. After another few seconds of silence, the blonde opened his mouth.
"This... is just a high school club.. Just an extracorricular activity," He breathed, then pursed his lips and made eye contact with his elder. "Why is everyone taking it so seriously?"
"Because to them," Crow answered. "It's not either of those things. It's a fundamental part of their lives, something they love to do. They take it so seriously because, unless they take it seriously, they'll be kicked off the court before they could really play. It might not make sense since you're a first year with several years of this ahead of you, but," Crow let go of him to pat his shoulder. "That's just because you aren't in love with volleyball yet."
"Ha," The blonde recoiled. "In love with volleyball? What, like Hinata? Living and breathing the game just isn't.." He trailed off, trying to find the right word. "Normal. It should be enough to just play! I wouldn't be here if I didn't like playing volleyball!"
"And yet you're struggling for a reason to stay," Crow tilted his head with a knowing smile. "Because you don't want to be sucked in. Sorry to rain on your parade, Tsukishima, but the game of volleyball already has its claws in you, and those claws don't come out so easily. My advice?" He smirked as he flicked the first year's forehead. "Keep playing, and find your own answer. Why are you still here, Kei Tsukishima?"
