Dwight examined James's arm, he thought he very seldom knew of anyone who could set an arm this well. He asked James if it hurt. He said, no Melza made me some tea to make me sleep and ease the pain. Dwight said, "I will leave you to it then." Dwight left the room and went down to the kitchen where he came across Demelza coming out of the water closet she had changed to her normal clothes and was heading into the Room with James. Dwight said, "Demelza you are amazing I do believe I could learn a thing or two from you." Demelza blushing said, "Nay Dwight I be not learned but thank you for the complement. She said how is he doing, he is getting ready to fall asleep, what did you give him?" They walked back down to the kitchen together.

Ross seeing them walk into the kitchen had a spark of jealousy, he knew Dwight thought his wife was beautiful and that he mentioned numerous times he would pursue her if it wasn't for Ross. Dwight was smiling from ear to ear, I do believe we have another doctor set up in the area. She has done precisely what any physician would have done. She is truly a wonder. Ross said, "yes, a wonder that has married me, I need to claim my wife. Demelza come with me we need to talk. Demelza was going to refuse until she saw Ross's face, he was angry really angry! Dwight said, "Ross." Ross turned and glared at Dwight. "What, Ross replied, "I would like to speak to my wife, if your still here when we are done, I will talk to you then? Ross grabbed Demelza's hand and led her outside, he said, "first I didn't refute Francis claim because it was insignificant, I have a wife, I love and adore, not to mention, I am completely happy with. So no, I didn't engage with him, I just wanted, to be away from him.

They reached the beach where the rocks sat to the back, where Demelza like to sit and think. "Demelza, you have married into a particular family, we are quick to anger, we are long in forgetting or forgiving and I am prone to rashness. I don't always think. I sometimes act without considering the consequences, it is what I need you for." "Ross why can't you just once defend me to that part of your family. You should have told Francis he was wrong. If it made me believe he was right in his assumption, don't you think he thought the same?" At the moment I just wanted to be away from him." Demelza nodded. Demelza said, "do we have to have much contact with them can we just stay away and hope they do the same. They make me feel like they are waiting for something that would ruin us." Ross" said, "my father kept his good fortune hidden from George, I believe the fair Poldark's and other members of society that would have tried to steal it from him to keep our side of the family impoverish. We will need to try to be one step ahead of them." Demelza nodded. "That means a united front, we can't picker between the two of us, we work as a team." He turned toward her and said, "can we do that?" Demelza said, "yes Ross!"

They were back at Nampara Ross, and his dad was working in the Library, Demelza was working in the kitchen getting supper ready the younger boys were upstairs with James. It was quiet, then rain started hitting the window seal, they were a loud claps of thunder. Demelza thought I should go check on the boys, when Ross came in and said, "I am going to check on the boys do you need anything, my love." She leaned back into him and said, "just my husband's arms around me." Ross said, "you have them." Mary Carter, came in bringing the laundry in with her she said "it is a might wet out there, strangest thing, storm came out of nowhere, almost as the fairies and the elementals are working together." Demelza turned toward her and said "what is an elemental," Mary said, "they are people or spirits that control the four elements, Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind. They can control it and when they get together with fairies, they can cause havoc. NO, they are not evil even though I may if some of their retributions may be to me!" There was a knock on the door. Demelza went to answer it. It was Elizabeth who looked like she just came out of the ocean. She snapped at Demelza come girl let me in, do you have no manners. Ross had just heard Elizabeth berating his wife. He stepped forward; Elizabeth changed her tune when she was aware of Ross's presence. Ross may I please come in it is pouring out here. As soon as Elizabeth step through the door the rain stopped as abruptly as it started. Ross said, "Elizabeth this will be the last time you enter this home berating the Mistress of it. Am I clear?" Elizabeth looked sheepishly at him, "Oh Ross I was just kidding. Demelza said, "Yes and I wasn't going to slam the door in your face."
