IT WASN'T A PLEASANT NIGHT, TOO SAY THE LEAST. Sally had stormed into Billy's room, a hysterical look on her face, he'd probably thought she'd walked home seeing as her hair was soaked. She wouldn't tell him though, just to make him feel guilty, which he didn't.

"You're a fucking asshole Billy!" She yelled at him, he sat up from him bed and walked over too her with a scowl.

"You need to watch your mouth" He replied lowly.

She pushed him away from her, maybe overreacting, but she was fed up with him. "You need to stop treating me like a peace of shit! How many times have I defended you? Huh?"

He clenched his jaw, anger filling up in him. "Oh stop feeling sorry for yourself Sally! You're capable of walking home, or better yet getting your license!"

"And whose paying? If you're offering I'd be happy too" She looked him in the eye unnerved as he sucked on his teeth. "Go fuck yourself Billy" She turned around and started to walk too her room.

Suddenly hearing his door slam, she turned around to see Billy storming after her, she wavered a little at the look on his face.

"I'm sorry, what did you just say to me?"

"Leave me alone" She recoiled, stepping away.

"Say it"

She took a deep breath and lifted her head to seem above him. "I told you to-"

"Sally!" Max called out from behind her, hearing the commotion from her room.

She turned back around, not sparing Billy another glance as she walked to Max's room with her. She wasn't scared, despite how antagonistic she could become, she just hated arguments.

Max quietly closed the door behind her as Sally took a seat on her bed, moving her Marvel comics out of the way so she wouldn't crumple them.

"Did you get home okay?" Max asked, sitting next to her and offering a small smile.

"Yeah, Munson gave me a lift home" She pinched the bridge of her nose because of the headache that had started to become stronger.

"Eddie Munson?"

"Yeah, why?" She looked up.

"He came up too me the other day when I was walking to Billy's car" She said, Sally frowning in concern. "He was asking about Billy, was a bit weird"

"What did he ask?" She thought back too when he saw their last argument when she'd gotten out of detention with him.

"Just things like if he was always so aggressive, shouting and shit" She answered shrugging. "I just assumed they'd gotten into a fight or something"

"Yeah probably" She didn't believe her own words fully.

Billy was a complicated man, he had a hatred against the world and inner demons that overtook his mind with anger. He'd had a harsh upbringing, that she knew of. His fathers wrath also affected him, made him take out his anger on others like his father does to him. It was a coping mechanism of a sort. She didn't hate Billy, she felt sorry for him. She'd seen the good moments, had good moments with him where they acted like normal siblings. But she couldn't always defend his selfish actions.

That night she slept in Max's room after having a silent dinner when her parents had came home, Billy glaring at her from the opposite end of the table. Despite having the comfort of Max snuggling next to her, she still couldn't fall asleep soundly.

It was six in the morning, Sally was up and eating some cereal on the sofa, watching some morning Tv show. She was wondering if Billy would still take her to school, she doubted it highly. Rethinking her options, she decided to give Steve a call, hoping that he was awake.
