OPENING HER EYES, SHE REALISED HER SURROUNDINGS WERE NOT FAMILIAR. Not Steve's house, definitely not Robins, and more specifically, not hers.

Memories from the night prior flooded back as she sat up and rubbed her eyes, she'd fallen asleep on Eddie Munsons couch. And he was right next too her, still dozed off.

His feet were propped up on the coffee table in-front whilst he lay slumped down with his arms crossed over his torso. Just like Sally, he was still fully dressed in clothes from the night prior. They'd fallen asleep whilst chatting about random subjects all night, she'd learnt some little details about him that night. Being very intrigued about the band that he was in.

Deciding it was probably best to go, she stood up after putting her damp shoes on, but hesitated before opening the door. Was Billy being serious about not coming home? It wasn't like he owned the house, but he sure thought he ruled it.

She jumped a little when she heard Eddie awake, stretching his arms upwards as he sat up.

"Were you about to sneak out?" He groggily chuckled, his morning voice coming out a little raspy before he cleared his throat.

She sat back down on the couch with a huff. "Yeah I was, but then I realised I have nowhere to go"

"Damn, he was really being serious about that?" He responded, lighting up his morning cigarette, offering Sally one too.

"Well I hope not, but I'm sure he'll try very hard for it to be"

"Well if you wanna stay here you'll have to pay rent" He tilted his head jokingly, smirking at her as smoke blew out from his nose.

"When I have a friend who lives in a mansion? Sorry but I'll pass" She stood back up and looked upwards to try and give her some courage, telling herself to just do it. "Fuck it, I'll just go"

"Call me if you need anything"

"Don't have your number so you won't be much help" She paced around, loosing her courage now. She wasn't scared as such, just had a problem with dealing with confrontation.

He looked around for a moment, rummaging through an old newspaper for a pen, when found he took out a cigarette from his box and wrote it down. "Here, now you can"

"Oh thanks, I definitely won't forget about it and smoke it" She rolled her eyes, pocketing it anyway. "See you around Edward"

"So long Sally" He saluted her as she stepped out of the door.

Finding the spare key under the doormat, she let herself in through the front door and looked around cautiously. Maybe she could just pretend like she'd been in her room all night?

The house was quiet so she assumed nobody was home, so she made her way to her beloved room. But before she could turn the handle, the door from behind her opened and she physically winced while turning around.

Billy stood there smoking, a fresh bruise planted on his cheek, but she didn't miss the fact that his knuckles were red raw.

"You don't listen do you?" He calmly said, staring at her as she leant against her unopened door.

She shrugged in a careless way. "I don't think you can make the decision where I live"

He looked down and nodded in thought, stepping a little closer. "You know, you were a right bitch last night, right?"

"Do you expect me to apologise?" She frowned at the way he was acting, it was almost as if there was no fight left in him. She didn't think this demeanour with her would last long.

"Just don't expect anything from me ever again, got it?" He rhetorically asked, walking away.

"Never did" She muttered to herself, finally making her way into her bedroom.

When the rest of her family had come home later on, she was lectured for what felt like hours, but no voices were raised. Something must've happened last night that she'd missed, it worried her a little bit. But at-least she hadn't been punished anymore, was just told they were oh so disappointed. She'd heard that one before, it felt like she heard it everyday from them.

Despite the uncommon stillness of the house, Sally still felt sorrowful. She felt the aloneness arise once again as she sat in her bedroom staring at the ceiling. One day things will change, she hoped and prayed for it to change.

When Steve had picked her up that Monday morning, he had many questions, worried for her seeing as she had disappeared at the party. She'd come up with a plausible lie, only telling half of the truth. She'd said Billy had come looking for her and wanted her home, so she went, Steve had accepted it quickly. For some unbeknown reason she didn't want to tell anyone about her new found friendship with the Munson boy.

It's not like they'd judge her or anything. Steve had moved away from the schools ridiculous hierarchy system years ago, his rocky friendship with Tommy and Carol making him enlightened to it. Robin simply never cared, preaching that watching paint dry was more interesting than the concept of popularity.

With a small sigh, she rummaged through her bare locker, trying to find her books for next lesson. The two friends that she'd been thinking about popped up out of nowhere and leant on the other lockers beside her as she closed her own, successfully finding the books needed.

"So y'know how we all had that group conversation once that Steve here was the biggest dingus?" Robin started, pointing at Steve who opened his mouth to defend himself, but only sighed. "Well, he's proved it!"

"What happened?" She replied with a raised brow.

"He ordered thirty pizzas to his party, thirty! Do you know how much that was Steve?"

He shrugged, trying to play it down. Sally's smile grew instantly, realising he'd spent way too much money.

"I have the receipt" Robin pulled the crumpled up paper from her back pocket, that she'd stolen from him. "Two hundred dollars!" She laughed, handing it to Sally.

"Oh Steve" Sally snorted, looking down at the receipt and back up too his regretful face.

"I know okay! My dads pissed at me" He rubbed his forehead, the trio beginning to walk down the hallway together. "He wants me to get a job, y'know learn my lesson and all that"

"Please tell me you even ate a slice of it"

He stared at his feet in silence, the two girls burst out laughing, finding it hilariously ironic. Who knew Steve could be so selfless?

"Well there's a bunch of places hiring, y'know with the new mall opening this summer" Robin tried too calm her giggling, failing when making eye contact with Sally again.

"Yeah maybe we could all work at Domino's together?"

"Assholes" Steve huffed, slinging his bag higher and walking off. The snickering girls had to wait a moment to compose themselves.
