TALKING TO BILLY HARGROVE HAD ALWAYS MADE SALLY FEEL ON EDGE. However, the two of them found themselves smoking together on the bonnet of his car, skipping Chemistry.

She'd originally been skipping anyway, not wanting to spend time with Eddie Munson longer than she had to. Billy had ran into her and asked for a cigarette as he was out, she abided with a shrug, ending up sitting down together.

"How's your eye?" Sally started the conversation, not being able to see the bruise hidden behind his sunglasses.

"Fine" He looked at her shrugging. "How's your tutoring going with the freak?" He raised his eyebrow, knowing she hated it.

"So great" She scoffed at him as he chuckled.

She enjoyed moments like this, where they weren't at each others throats all the time. It reminded her of when they were young, before he held a grunge towards her family. Deep down they didn't hate one another, she let herself believe that

When lunch came, Sally's good mood went down hill as she sat down opposite an awaiting Eddie Munson.

"You're late" He stated, clicking his pen.

"I was having a cigarette" She grabbed her books out, giving him a piece of paper to write onto. She hated that she didn't have her lunches with her friends anymore, she'd have to tell him to fuck off some days, even though her teacher insisted she tutored him everyday.

He tutted. "They'll kill you"

"Hypocritical much?"

He chuckled in response and held his hands up in surrender. She started on the themes of the play, knowing that was the key thing to know. Seeing as he didn't know anything, it was a struggle.

"Celestial imagery, what the hell is that?"

"Celestial, like the stars" She explained. "Then Juliet uses natural imagery, like talking about plants and shit"

"Er, why?"

"Could show her realism of love for Romeo, seeing as his is superficial almost" She shrugged, trying to remember what her teacher had told her.

"Jesus, that's soppy" Eddie scrunched his nose up, it was the first time Sally had agreed with him. "You ever been in love Mayfield?" He suddenly asked, leaning back on his chair and crossing his arms, his tattoos on show.

"Stop going off topic, anyway-"

"Tell you what, every question I answer-" He picked up the stack of flash cards she was about to continue too. "I get to ask you one too, because this is boring as fuck"

She immediately rolled her eyes. "Do we have too?"

"Yes, spice things up a little"

Sally thought about it for a moment, analysing his face. She supposed it would make things less stale. "Fine"

He smirked triumphantly. "So have you ever been in love?"

"No" She answered quickly. "What's does Juliet's natural imagery symbolise?" She repeated her explanation earlier, to see if he was truly listening.

"Her real love to Romeo that's not superficial like his, blah blah blah" He smugly answered. "What's you're favourite band? You seem like you listen to Whitney or something shit"

She was offended by that, she thought she had decent music taste. "Definitely not" She chuckled, knowing her mother listened to Whitney Houston a lot. "Would be between Tears For Fears or The Smiths"

"Tears For Fears, seriously?"

"It's probably because of this one song, my dad used to always play it" She didn't know why she was telling him this, she didn't even know why she was having a proper conversation with him.
