STARCOURT MALL WAS ABOUT TO BECOME OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and seeing as the trio were about to be working there, they came in before to gather their bearings, and pick up their uniform.

They were brought into the back room of Scoops Ahoy by their nimble manager after getting a fast paced tour, and handed their new uniforms.

"Are you actually joking" Steve stated, picking up the sailors outfit with a moan.

"It's not too bad" Sally commented, not too keen about the hat, but overall not that bothered.

"That's because you're a girl" He huffed, picking up his navy blue shorts. "Look at what I have to wear"

"Do you want the job or not?" Robin rolled her eyes, placing the hat on his head and making his beloved hair become static.

"I'm not wearing the stupid hat" He threw it off and back onto the counter.

"It's company policy, too bad" Sally chuckled, throwing it back into his chest as he mumbled something rude under his breath- good thing their manager was in the front room.

So far she'd loved the mall, the new shops that had come with it was a big upgrade to there measly selection in the town square. The eccentric colours had made her feel like she had entered a completely  different dimension, if she stared hard enough it would strain her eyes though. But the little ice cream shop they were residing in was okay, themed with anchors and ships- it was in the name- Scoops Ahoy.

"I can't believe my dad forced me to get a job" He continued, stuffing the clothes into his bag.

"Stop whining about it" Robin also packed her things away, all of them readying themselves to leave. They walked into the main area and caught eyes with the manager flaying about the place, trying to set everything in order for open day. Starcourt Mall would really change Hawkins, downtown would probably turn into a ghost town.

Before they stepped out, he handed them their shift timetables, luckily they were together for most of them- on some days coming in at different times. Sally wasn't exactly buzzing to start working, but she was thankful she would be surrounded by her friends.

After her delightful morning of witnessing the mall, Steve had given her a lift home after she'd denied going out for lunch with them, she'd already made important plans with Eddie. Going over English one last time before the final exam that Monday, she could tell he'd become nervous for that specific one.

Eddie had turned up at the door thirty minutes later, holding a stack of textbooks and notes. "I've turned into Harrington, a complete stress head" He stepped inside with a shiver.

"Just chill out, you'll be fine" She replied, guiding him through to her room and rubbing his back soothingly. "We've been working on everything for months, there's no need to stress"

"You've been abnormally nice to me lately" He suspiciously noted, squinting his eyes.

Her brows furrowed. "What do you mean?"

"I dunno, you're nicer than usual"

"I can punch you in the face if you want?"

He fell onto her bed with a content sigh. "There she is" He uttered to himself.

"Anyway... aren't you supposed to be the optimistic one?" She brushed it off, giving him a knowing stare.

"Will you ever stop contradicting me?"

"Nope" She grinned, sitting next too him and planting a sweet kiss on his lips. She wouldn't say she was mean to Eddie all the time, she just wasn't the type too cuddle up to him and feed him lovey- dovey lies.
