"YOU GOT ANY SNACKS?" Eddie stumbled through the front door, having been driven to Sally's house.

"Just sit down for a moment" Sally directed him onto the couch, pushing him down by his shoulders. "Keep an eye on him" She turned to Max, who had a curious look on her face.

"What's wrong with him?" She questioned.

"Nothing, he's just... tired" Sally shrugged out a lie, leaving the living room to find her mother in the kitchen, she was surprised she was up so late.

"Hey, hon" Susan turned around from the cupboards, closing the door.

"Why are you still up?" She asked, wondering if she heard the ruckus a minute ago.

"Got home late, long shift" She shrugged, beginning to fill a glass of water. "You and Max have fun?"

"Yeah..." Sally quietened for a moment. "Do you think Eddie could stay the night? It's late so..."

"Eddie Munson?" Her mother grinned, giving her a knowing look.

"Mhm" She hummed in reply, trying to smother her own smile by looking down. "We're kinda, y'know, together"

"Was wondering when you were going to tell me" Susan chuckled, shaking her head. "Could tell you were head over heels for that boy" Sally blanked, wondering how her mother just knew everything, it was unnerving. "Of course he can sleep, won't be the first time"

"What" Her eyes widened, mouth gaping in shock. "How the hell did you know?"

"I'm not stupid!" Her mother scoffed, grinning at her daughters shocked face. "And when I heard loud snoring from your room one night I got a little suspicious, so peeked my head through and saw him" She shrugged nonchalantly.

"Aren't you mad?"

"I would've been if I saw you two naked on top of the sheets"

"Oh my god- leaving now!" Sally shivered down her spine, swiftly turning and practically running out of the doorway. With a huff, she went back into the living room to see Eddie fixated on the television, hardly blinking.

He seemed to snap out of it when he heard Sally. "Snacks?"

"No, c'mon, bedtime" She shook her head, still trying to recover from her mothers words.

He pouted his lips and held his hands up, making grabby hands in her direction- like an incompetent toddler. She complied with a roll of her eyes, ready for bed herself now.

"How does Max get to stay up later than me?" He accused her with a finger in her direction.

"She doesn't, Max, get to bed" Sally nodded for her to get herself up, getting a huff in response.

"You're not my mom" She said defiantly.

"But I am, go to bed Max" Susan poked her head through the doorway, making her comply.

"Oh, hey Susan!" Eddie slurred a little, looking very happy at her entrance. But before another conversation was started, Sally pulled him away and towards her room.

As they entered, closing the door behind, Eddie stretched his arms high and wide with a yawn. She fought to stop herself from snickering, but it inevitably happened as he stumbled over himself as he took his boots off.
