JUST LIKE SHE'D EXITED, SHE ARRIVED WITH THE DOOR SLAMMING BEHIND HER.

"Hey- what are you doing home?" Billy obliviously asked, walking out of the living room after hearing her grand entrance.

"Fuck off!" She shouted, barging past him and entering her room, feeling absolutely furious. She couldn't exactly place her finger on the reason why she'd gotten so irritated by Eddie's words- he was only trying to be nice.

"What's your problem?" Billy followed after, walking into her room to see her glumly sat on her bed, on the verge of tears.

"Nothing" She mumbled, wanting to be alone.

With a sigh, he sat down beside her, giving her a plain look as she rolled her eyes. "You're being loud and sweary- you're obviously pissed about something"

"It's just- I'm allowed to get over things and move on" She exclaimed, a frown line on her forehead as she opened up too him.

"What's this about?" He raised his brow.

"Eddie" She grumbled under her breath.

"What did he fucking do" He sat straight, his tone becoming very serious.

"Nothing really, he was just trying to be nice I guess, but he kept insisting on the fact that I'm still so affected by my dad leaving" She cut in, trying not to villainize the good intentioned boy.

"It would make sense if you were"

"But I'm not"

He fell silent, watching her think over her answer.

She sighed. "Yes okay, maybe it hurts a little, but there's nothing I can do about it"

"Yeah, but you don't need to bite someone's head off every time they bring the topic up"

"You're supposed to be on my side!" She acted childlike, crossing her arms and frowning grumpily.

"Why do you even hang out with Munson so much if you always argue?" He asked in complete bewilderment.

"Probably because he's my boyfriend" She muttered, after all this time, finally filling him in.

"Jesus..." He paused for a moment with and then scoffed loudly. "It was kind of obvious wasn't it?" He shook his head, damming his blindness.

"Yeah, it kind of was Billy" She rubbed his back sarcastically, her mood lightened. It didn't mean she wasn't still pissed at Eddie though, her stubbornness wouldn't let her budge.

"Well," He chuckled. "This whole thing seems like a you problem" He got up and walked out of her room, leaving her speechless as he didn't even try and give her any kind of advice. She didn't know what she had expected anyway.

It was quiet that night, she kept to herself- distracting her thoughts of him by studying most of the night. She couldn't help but continuously glance at her telephone though, waiting for the noise of a phone call, hopefully him. But the landline never rang.

Pursing her lips in thought, she pushed her notes off her lap and onto the other side of the bed. And trying once more to prove Eddie wrong, she dialled her fathers number- she hadn't forgotten it after all this time. Why would she? He was still his father, but she didn't know how much that meant to him anymore.

The other line had been silent for a few moments, she most likely thought he wouldn't answer. But then again, how would he know it was her? The line connected all of sudden through her overthinking.

"Uh- hey" Her throat went dry.

"Whose this?" His voice responded, it was recognisable but more thicker. It was a shock too even hear his voice in the first place.
