WHEN THE BELL RANG FOR THE END OF SCHOOL, IT WAS MUSIC TO EVERYONES EARS. Especially when it was Friday, Sally and Steve had big plans this Friday.
The two friends were waiting by the side of his car for Max to arrive, Steve now driving them home today. However, it wasn't just Max that they saw turn the corner, Dustin and Lucas were excitedly walking with her.
When they approached them, Steve placed his hands on his hips, looking irritated. "Why have you brought the Ghostbusters with you?" He asked Max.
Sally snorted and playfully swatted his arm. Max had told her that they were the only ones that had turned up dressed in costumes for Halloween the other week, and Sally had told Steve who had found it hilarious.
"We need supplies" Lucas replied.
"For what?" Sally asked, wondering what they were up to now.
"Sorry party members only" Dustin answered, an unapologetic grin on his face.
"Dipshits" Steve was supposed to mutter, but was heard by them all.
Dustin flipped him off, opening the backseat doors to get in, the others piling in after.
"Wipe your feet!" He protested.
Dustin shimmied his feet on the mat on the inside of the car, chuckling too himself.
"On the outside not the inside!" He huffed, looking at a giggling Sally who went to open the passenger door and sit down.
The drive home was chaotic, everyone was trying to talk over one another, and Dustin was trying to radio Mike, but was struggling to get signal. He wound down the window and stook his head outside. "Mike, can you hear me now?!"
"Close the window, it's cold!"
"Dustin you're gonna get your head chopped off!"
"Henderson, I swear to god!"
The cacophony of noises immediately stopped as Steve braked hard. He turned around to the back seats and pointed with wide eyes at the children, imitating a scolding mother. "Keep heads, arms, any limbs inside the car- and put your seatbelt on Henderson!"
He turned back around and sighed, then continued to drive, everyone being silent except for Sally who was trying to hold back her laughter with a palm over her mouth.
They'd convinced Robin to ask Vickie out, seeing as she'd suggested it first. Robin was still nervous of Vickie's thoughts, but took the leap of faith anyway, even if it wasn't a confirmed date. At least the two would get to know each-other better.
And of course with knowing this information, her other two friends decided to come along, without Robin having any knowledge of it though.
After they'd dropped the kids off to 'collect supplies' they drove off to the diner Max and Sally usually went to when they were out together. Robin and Vickie were going to turn up after them, and then they'd sneak inside.
They'd disguised themselves, thinking they were true spies. Steve had the same tinted glasses on that he'd wore to the Halloween party and one of Sally's polka dot bucket hats too disguise his hair. You could recognise that hair from a far distance, so she'd forced him to wear it.
Sally decided to just wear a hooded sweater and a pair of heart shaped sunglasses. They truly looked ridiculous.
"I can't believe you talked me into this" Steve scoffed, checking his watch as they parked in the corner of the car park.
"Hey, It's for her protection!"
"The girls like five feet tall, what's she gonna do?" He replied, watching her light up what he thought was a cigarette. "You're just nosy" He chuckled.
