bigboobedsupermodel, I hope as someone who also has autism I was able to properly portray an autistic person here. I've never written a character to have autism, but I should've been able to get it done properly. Hope you'll enjoy.

When it comes to feeling out of place, (Name) knows it better than most people. Being an ultimate contributes to it, but when you're diagnosed with autism people automatically look at you differently. They think you're someone to avoid, and even if it's difficult to talk to others, that doesn't mean people with autism don't want connections; it's just a bit more difficult to do so.

Unusual situations can already be overwhelming, but a killing game? A situation where people you just met could backstab you any moment, literally, is just so terrifying...

When it came to introducing yourself to the other students, (Name) found that Nagito was a huge help. He seemed to have heard about her and her talent, making it so she could rely on him to introduce her to the others. Nagito didn't seem to mind helping out, and didn't treat her any differently, even though some of the other classmates had various responses to her 'odd' behavior.

"Why would I treat you any differently just because you have autism? You're a shining beacon of hope, meant to guide this world to a brighter hope; autism doesn't change that in the slightest. I know I'm just trash, unworthy of even being in your presence, but if there's anything I can do to help you then don't hesitate to let me know. I'll even let you kill me if that's what you want."

(Name) frowned when she heard that, avoiding eye contact while fidgeting with a part of her shirt. She wasn't the best at speaking up, especially to those she didn't know well, but she didn't feel like she should leave it at this. Feeling too awkward to speak up, she decided to write her thoughts on paper. She worked to make sure her handwriting was neat enough to be read before handing it to Nagito.

I'd appreciate your help, Nagito. But please don't talk about murder; I don't plan to kill anyone. We're all full of hope as you've said before; why diminish one hope to make another brighter when you can work to make all the hope burn brighter?

(Name) couldn't see Nagito's expression when he read her paper as she was glancing at the ground. She hoped her words would be understood and make sense; she didn't want Nagito to misunderstand her.

Nagito had probably read the note at least ten times within a minute, feeling the hope surging out of her words. How could he have been so blind? He knew he was scum compared to the ultimates, but it's clear (Name) was a league above the others.

"Of course... I totally see what you mean. I promise to not kill anyone; and be sure to rely on me if you need anything."

(Name) was mainly relieved to hear that Nagito wouldn't be killing anyone, or more likely letting anyone kill him, but also appreciated the help. In a new situation it's almost guaranteed to be too overwhelming to handle.

Days passed and (Name) and Nagito grew closer. Nagito was always there to help (Name), whether it was telling Teruteru what she wanted to eat, reaching the top shelf at the supermarket, or even just keeping her company since the others weren't too eager to spend time with someone 'mentally challenged'.

With no murders occurring, things seemed to be looking up for the group. Byakuya decided to host a party to keep the spirits high and unite the group even further. (Name) was never a fan of parties, planning to skip and just stay in her cabin room. That is, until she found Nagito talking to Teruteru while cleaning the place the party was going to be held in.

Nagito was planning to commit a murder to start up the killing game. Despite what he had said to her before, it seems like he didn't agree with her method; even if it meant going behind her back.
