This was requested by dreamboyss. I will admit that while I am a full supporter of LGBT+, I have never met a trans person. As such, I was immensely worried that I would somehow offend you with this request with how I wrote it. If I did somehow mess up, I'm truly sorry. Feel free to tell me if that's the case and I'll do whatever I can to make it right.

"Alright! Back by popular demand, it's time for the motive video!"
Shuichi glanced at the Kubs Pad in confusion. This presumably was going to be the next motive given out by Monokuma, but for some reason instead of his silhouette being shown, it was (Name)'s. Additionally, it was (Name)'s name displaying on the screen; surely if it was his motive it'd have his name written on it, right? Was this mistake made on purpose?
"Who's the most important person in your life? And now, without further ado.."
The screen soon changed to show what seemed like (Name) holding a small puppy. He looked different somehow though; (Name) seemed like he was wearing a bra underneath his shirt. As far as he had known, (Name) was always a guy.
"(Name) (Last Name), the ultimate (ultimate). It seemed like as she was growing up (Name) would try out various skills to eventually find out her talent. She even decided to change her gender; humans sure are strange aren't they?"
Shuichi had to pause the video and register what he had just heard. Sure, he had noticed little things seeming off with (Name), but he had never guessed that (Name) was transgender. There was nothing wrong with that of course, it was just a bit startling to learn this from a motive video.
"With her- ahem, now his- parents being unsupportive of these changes, his dog (Dog Name) became the only companion through the difficult times. His dog was truly the most important comfort and support in his life."
The screen then changed to show the dog seeming beaten up in an alleyway somewhere. Shuichi tried to glance at the setting to see if he could learn more about what's going on in the outside world, but nothing caught his attention.
"But then a terrible event happened to the precious puppy. What kind of event? It's a secret! Find out for yourself. Puhuhuhuhuhu..."
The video ended with Monokuma giving his signature laugh. Shuichi had to sit down for a second as he set the Kubs Pad to the side. It's not like any of the students had known each other for long, so it'd make sense no one knew everything about each other, but it felt like being given this information from a motive seemed to be an invasion of privacy in a way.
As Shuichi met up with the others, he couldn't help but keep glancing in your direction. He needed to find a way to talk with you in private; it didn't feel right to talk about these things out in the open.
While everyone had some free time, Shuichi managed to pull you aside. He had found a secluded area of the courtyard to discuss the issues; there weren't any areas to hide or sneak up on them so someone like Kokichi or Angie wouldn't be an issue.
"The Kubs Pad motive Monokuma had given them... I, um, received yours... I believe the motive itself should be hidden to prevent a murder, but... um..."
Shuichi was having a hard time bringing the topic at hand to light. He didn't know what your reaction would be to him knowing the truth. Would you be mad at him? He had no intention to leak the secret, so that wouldn't be an issue, but still...
However, you were the one to speak up first. It didn't take long for you to conclude what he wanted to say, and figured the sooner you speak up, the better for both of you.
"You learned that I'm trans... right?"
Shuichi slowly nodded at your response, waiting to see what you response would be to him knowing the truth.
"You aren't going to treat me any differently, are you?"
Shuichi frowned when he heard you say this. His mind goes back to the message in the Kubs Pad and how your parents weren't accepting of the change.
"Of course not! I-I don't intend to tell anyone else either; that is, unless you'd rather they know the truth. It's all up to you really..."
You seemed relieved to hear this, a sigh escaping that you didn't seem to know you were holding in. You tried to stay calm, but your nervousness wasn't inescapable to the ultimate detective.
"I'd rather you not tell anyone... I worry about them treating me differently if they knew the truth... Especially Tenko..."
Shuichi hadn't even considered how Tenko would react to the truth. She'd probably treat you better, but she'd probably also pressure you to be something you doesn't want to be.
Shuichi nodded softly in understanding.
"Of course... I understand. I just thought it was fair that you knew that I know... It felt like an invasion of privacy to see it from a motive, so it just felt right to tell you... you know?"
You nodded in understanding. Even though you hadn't known each other for long since being forced into this killing game, Shuichi really did seem like an understanding and considerate person. He could be someone you could lean on. It makes you wonder what it would be like to have meant him outside these walls of death and despair.
"I understand... Thank you... You're very kind..."
"I'm just doing what anyone would do... If you need anything else, just let me know..."
Shuichi was about to walk away, but before you knew what was going on, you hugged him from behind. You weren't sure what had compelled you to do such an action, but now that you were doing it you didn't intend to let go. This killing game had already been such a toll on you and your mental state, and hearing someone say they would treat you no differently given your secret... it was hard to explain how you were feeling.
"(N-Name), what are you...? Oh, c-come here..."
Shuichi turns around so he can hug you properly, keeping a soft yet firm grip around you. If you needed to cry, you could cry. If you just wanted to be held, that's fine too. He just wanted to help you feel safe, like you had someone you could confide in.
"Is it alright if we spend some more time together? I-I'd rather not be left alone right now..."
Shuichi nodded softly as you pulled away.
"Of course... I'll stay with you as long as you need."
Being in a killing game means it's all the more important to look out and care for those most important to you. You never know what'll happen, or who won't live to see another day. But together, there may be a way out...
A body has been discovered. Please report to the Ultimate (Talent) lab.
Guess not.
