Ryoma sometimes wonders how he ended up with someone as wonderful as Kirumi. He never thought he'd be able to move on from his first love, but he did. Kirumi was truly a wonderful partner, even if he had to remind her to treat the two of them like a relationship instead of a master and servant.
She would work long days, which Ryoma was understanding of. He knew she would feel uneasy if she didn't work; there's a reason she was granted the title of ultimate maid. She had even helped him get back to playing tennis after he paid his time in prison.
Even though he knew he was nowhere as skilled at cooking as Kirumi, he would make dinners for Kirumi to come home to. She would be home any minute, and he had just finished the soup recipe Kirumi had taught him.
Placing the bowls of soup on the table, he heard the front door. He headed to the front door to welcome her home, when he noticed the exhaustion and stress written all over her face. She'd do her best to not worry Ryoma, making him have to become able to notice even the smallest changes in her expression or demeanor.
"Welcome home Kirumi, I made some dinner for the both of us."
Kirumi smiles, leaning down to give him a kiss on his forehead. Despite Kirumi not being unnaturally tall, she still had to lean down given that her boyfriend Ryoma never had a growth spurt. Ryoma didn't mind though; he understood and accepted that he was stuck at this height a long time ago.
"That sounds wonderful. Let me just go put these cleaning supplies away."
Kirumi always used her own personal cleaning supplies when cleaning for clients; she insisted that this way she'd ensure the most professional results would come from this.
Ryoma shook his head, taking the supplies himself.
"You go eat. I'll take care of these. You look really stressed... We can talk about it when I come back if you want; it's what I want, promise."
Kirumi sighs softly, giving in with Ryoma's request and heads to the kitchen to eat. Ryoma had made sure to clean the dishes he used while cleaning to make sure she wouldn't do that for him.
He went to put away her supplies, soon enough returning to the kitchen to see her eating the soup. He's sure she could improve it, but she never did; perhaps she doesn't want him to feel bad for cooking. Either way, Ryoma appreciated the fact she could simply enjoy the food without needing to work on it.
"It's very good, thank you."
Ryoma nods, getting on a chair so he could start eating his own bowl.
"I'm glad. Would you mind telling me what's gotten you so stressed? There's no use trying to deny it."
Kirumi takes a deep breath, knowing he wouldn't let it go until she answered him; honestly. After all the time they had spent together he could tell when she'd try to trick him. It was never for malicious intent; he knew she'd just try to relieve his worries, so he couldn't get too mad at her.
"I suppose the work today was a bit much. Not necessarily because of the work itself, but those I was hired by. I've had people hire me who were a bit hard to get along with, but this family... I suppose I simply didn't mesh with them personality-wise."
Ryoma could tell there was a bit more to it, but didn't want to push further; especially since she was already sharing the majority of it. He knew she could work with almost anyone, so to hear there was a family that could stress her out this much...
