Here you go Maddielowlow, I hope it's to your liking.

"I can't believe the school's hosting a dance out of the blue. Apparently even the reserve course is invited."

"Yeah, it makes no sense. Did anything happen that'd instigate a dance to occur?"

You shrugged your shoulders.

You and Fuyuhiko were hanging out during lunch, outside the classroom and away from the chaotic people called your classmates. You had invited Peko to join you, but she said she had something to attend to first. Fuyuhiko didn't seem to mind her not joining, so you couldn't really complain.

"I mean, it's not even required, so what's the point of it? Let me guess, you're not planning to go."

Fuyuhiko paused before responding.

"I was actually thinking of going... But only if you were wanting and willing to be my date. I mean, you don't have to... I just thought I'd bring it up..."

You instantly understood why Peko was suddenly 'busy' today. You smile, nodding your head.

"Yeah, that sounds nice. Consider it a date... Uh, do we even know when or where the dance is?"

"I think Ms. Yukizome was giving out little pamphlets with the information about it. I'm sure when we head back for afternoon classes we can ask her about it."

"Makes sense."

The two of you finished up your lunch while chatting about random topics. Heading back to class after lunch, you were able to get information about the date. For some reason the school had a ballroom, which is odd that it's being used since the dance is casual attire. Still, if you would be forced to wear a dress you would've absolutely refused to go to the dance.

The rest of the day went by without any issues or hiccups. The dance was being held tomorrow evening, so they just had to wait until then. You and Fuyuhiko hung out after school, and once again at school during lunch.

It seems like some of your other classmates were making up pairs, such as Sonia and Gundham (to Kazuichi's horror), or Mahiru and Saionji. Chiaki had a date with someone from the reserve course, so it'd be interesting to be able to finally meet the guy she had been talking about.

"I hope to see you all at the dance. I want to see what funky moves you can do." Ms. Yukizome made an attempt at... some sort of dance, making most of the class groan.

"Is that a traditional Japanese dance style?"

You figured Sonia would ask something like that, and instead began to realize the implications of the dance. You and Fuyuhiko... this was being considered a date. You have certainly been crushing on Fuyuhiko for a while now, but even so...

Just stay calm...

After classes finished for the day you and Fuyuhiko split up, planning to meet up at the place you usually go to eat during lunch. The both of you had to get ready for the dance, even if it was casual attire.

Soon enough you were heading out to the location, hands a bit clammy. Would this be a good opportunity to tell Fuyuhiko how you felt? You were the first to arrive, but you weren't waiting long before Fuyuhiko arrived. To your surprise, he was wearing one of his business suits that he usually wears.

"What happened to dressing casually?"

"This is my casual attire. Do you have a problem with it?"

You shook your head.

"Not at all, I was just a bit surprised. You actually look really nice in it..."

Fuyuhiko wasn't expecting that, but was able to remain composed despite the compliment.

"Shall we go?"

You nodded, and the both of you headed to the dance. The ballroom wasn't too far from where your meet-up spot was, but you weren't anticipating how large the ballroom was. You knew that it'd take a big space to host the entire school, but Ms. Yukizome didn't prepare you for how large the space was.

"This place is too damn crowded. Let's find a space by the wall to stay."

You couldn't agree more with his suggestion, not wanting to be cramped in between crowds of students. The two of you found a part next to the wall to claim. For the most part you two talked, occasionally going to grab a snack or drink. When either one of you 'danced', it was more like tapping your hand to the beat, or swaying ever-so-slightly. If Ms. Yukizome saw you two, she'd be very disappointed.

Even if your version of 'fun' wasn't for most of the people, you two were having a surprisingly great time together. You two could have fun just with having each other as company.

Then it happened; the dreaded slow song. There hadn't been one yet, and you were feeling pretty awkward about it. Fuyuhiko hadn't wanted to dance yet, so you probably would just sit this one out-

"Hey (Name)... Let's dance."

Fuyuhiko's words shocked you, but you were able to nod and let Fuyuhiko pull you into the proper position for the slow dance. Your bodies were close together, hands on each other in the proper manner. You're glad the lights were dimmed because you knew your face was burning up.

"You know (Name), I've had a lot of fun tonight. It'd be fun to go out and do things like this again... I mean... I guess what I'm trying to say is that I like you, and would like to date you... and go out on dates together..."

You could tell that Fuyuhiko was having trouble saying these things. Just because he was a part of the yakuza didn't mean he couldn't get flustered or nervous. Even so, you were smiling widely after hearing this.

"I'd love to date you. I've actually liked you for a long time... You wouldn't be able to imagine how fast my heart was beating when you asked me to dance."

Fuyuhiko, relieved, smiled as well. He led you to do a spin before leaning you downward, pulling you in for a kiss. You were flustered, especially since anyone could look over at you two, but you still kissed back.

Sadly the song soon came to an end, and you two stepped away a couple feet from each other. You were both flustered, but it was clear that you were both happy as well. The dance was far from over, but it had already reached its climax for the both of you. You were both eager to get out of the crowded area, and finished the date getting a bite to eat at a local restaurant. This was definitely a night you both wouldn't forget.
