"Don't "Axel" me Kyla, you have eyes just like I do and you certainly saw the way that guy looked at you today at the beach."
I hid my head under the pillow trying in any possible way to escape the conversation I was having on my hotel bed with Axel.

"Oh come on Ax, he wasn't looking at me in any way beside he ran away as soon as I turned."
I replicated groaning inside the pillow.
"Kyla, he ran away because he was afraid of Nicolai.
From the way he glared at him I would've ran away too."
"What?"
I immediately raised my head, my attention perking with interest back to the conversation.
"What do you mean "what"? Don't tell me you didn't see that either."

I kept quiet and that was enough for him as an answer.
"Ever since we came out of the water, he's been sending death glare at everyone who laid eyes on you."
He said shifting his position on the bed into one laying on his belly; for some reason knowing that single particular made my stomach do strange things, things I felt whenever Nicolai was involved.

"What about that little smile eh?"
Axel said moving his index finger in circle around my face.
"What are you talking about?"
"You know what I'm talking about, don't give me that shit"
I didn't even realize I had a smile on my face until he told me.
After that I was a little quiet, thinking about something that's been bothering me since that moment we had on the beach.
"Even if I wanted to...you know date him, I don't think I'd be his type."

I said remembering what Chloe told me in the bathroom of that bar, and even though I know, and believe me I do know that I shouldn't rely on what comes out of her mouth, there's still something that tells me that she might be right, that I might not be Nicolai's type.
Chloe as annoying, unpleasant and without a single functional neuron as she can be, reflects more what is, and would be Nicolai's prototype of girl.

"Hey slow down for a sec.
What are my ears even listening to?
Kyla please you are literally anyone's type.
You are beautiful, have a great body with that nice ass of yours, you are one of the few truly nice and understanding people that I know and if Nicolai can't see that, which I highly doubt, then his lost. "
While listening to him only one thought came to my mind:

"How lucky I am to have an Axel in my life."

I really don't know how I'd deal with life without him.
"What about you? Someone in sight?"
I asked pretending to look at the details of the blankets beneath us keeping a low profile not wanting him to feel overwhelmed or with his back to the wall about this subject.
"Actually yes"
I raised my head with wide eyes not expecting that answer but then I immediately recovered clearing my throat and settling into a sitting position with my legs crossed, Ax took advantage of it and rested his head on my legs.

"Yeah?"
"Yes..."
He started playing with his fingers staring at the wall before him with a little smile.
"I really like this person, the way they make me feel is something I've never experienced with anyone before.
I feel ... safe, loved and when they look at me...Kyla I tell you it's as if I am the one and only person they see even if we are in a room full of people."
Even though he couldn't see it I had a huge smile on my face.

I knew he was talking about Damiano, not just cause I suspected it for a long time but mostly because of the look he had every time he was in his presence, the same exact look he had in this same moment talking about him.
I was so happy that he found someone who made him feel like that because he deserved it all.
"And not to mention sex that is simply mind blowing."
I didn't have time to cover my ears that he had already finished the sentence.
"Now Axel, I didn't need to know that detail you know."
He laughed and tilted his head back slightly so he could look at me.
"Kyla-"

"Wait."
I said when the noise of something caught my attention but I didn't understand exactly where it was coming from.
"It must have been the wind that slammed the door."
Said axel brushing it off and although not entirely convinced I chose to agree with him.
