"Kyla"
Viktor's voice called me making me turn again seeing that he had managed to escape from the guard and was running towards me hugging my legs trying to hide, the same guard who was holding him started running pointing a gun at us but before he could get any closer I elbowed the guard who was holding me causing him to let go before pulling the gun out of his hands and shooting the one coming our way.

In a few seconds Alekzandr's gun was pointed at my head so I pointed mine at him, at the same time Nicolai pointed the gun at Alekzandr who started to look around noticing that he was now surrounded and had not one but two guns at his head.

His mask slipped for a fraction of second before his usual smirk appeared on his ugly face as I heard two guns cocking one pointed at me and the other one at Nicolai.

"You took me by surprise I must admit that little Kyla"
He said with a laugh that echoed around the room, I quickly looked around trying to create a plan where none of us ended up with our brains smashed on the floor.

"You should teach your men not to reveal your plans to prisoners Aleksandr"
I said shrugging before noticing his gaze had shifted to Viktor who was still clutched at my legs so I moved him behind me with one hand.
"What are you going to do with that kid?"

That kid

How could he refer to his own child like that as if he were someone else's child.
"I'll take him as far from your sick mind as possible"
I spat as his expression changed to an angry one before returning back to a bored one.

"You can take him I really don't give a fuck just know that neither you nor your friends will leave this place alive"
I let him talk for a while longer before looking around me getting ready to do something risky but it was the only way to make sure we all got out of this place alive.

I turned my head to the right meeting Nicolai's gaze trying to communicate my plan with my eyes, he nodded and taking a breath I lowered my head slightly I looked at Viktor for an instant giving him a faint smile preparing myself for what was about to happen.

"Alekzandr, the one who won't get out of here alive is you"
I said and after seeing his confused expression in the blink of an eye I moved my head back just in time for a bullet from Nicolai to land between the eyes of the guard next to me, while I still had the chance I reached out and fired a clean shot at the other guard before he had a chance to react.

At that point Nicolai already had his gun pointed at Aleksandr who did the same but didn't take into account a small detail.

"What is it you don't laugh anymore?"
I asked him after I pointed my gun to the side of his head pressing hard seeing as he closed his eyes lowering his head before raising it again glaring at both me and Nicolai with immense hatred.

Looking at Nicolai he gave me a smile which I returned and in an instant we pulled the trigger at the same time feeling Aleksandr's body fall to the ground with a thud.

It is all over

I could hardly believe that we were all safe, it didn't even seem real.

"Kyla"
I heard Nicolai's broken voice calling me but just when I was about to move towards him I saw a red line cross the whole room until it stopped on Viktor's head; the world stopped for an instant.

In one move I stood in front of Viktor shielding him with my body before feeling excruciating pain piercing my chest then another and another one, I couldn't move the only thing I felt was my eyes getting heavy and blood in my mouth.

I heard several disguised voices shouting my name and then several shots, with the last strength I had left I looked down checking if he was alright seeing Viktor's face streaked with tears then I closed my eyes feeling icy cold around me yielding to the need to rest.
