"Niclai wake up"
I half heard Viktor's little voice say before I felt his fingers open my eyes and his laugh causing me to groan.

"What is it"
I said taking his hands in mine moving them off my face as a yawn left my mouth.
"Your phone was ringing I couldn't sleep"
He yawned rubbing his eyes.

"Sorry piccolo (little one), go back to sleep"
He nodded before crawling back under the covers taking my hand and placing it on his head urging me to stroke his head which I did before reaching out grabbing my phone yawning again.

As soon as I turned on the phone the first thing I saw were 5 calls from my brother and 4 from Axel, furrowing my eyebrows a sense of concern flooded over me making me nervous so I immediately called my brother who answered on the third ring.

"Damiano what's going on"
I asked and could hear loud noise in the background of machines blaring.
"Nicolai it's about Kyla"
At those words my body stiffened as my heart, I could hardly breathe; for calling me so many times it couldn't have been a good thing.

"What happened to her, are you in the hospital? I am coming"
I said starting to get out of bed and taking the first clothes I could find putting them on trying not to wake Viktor.

"She keeps collapsing the doctors-they don't know for how long her heart will hold out."
I felt the world fall on me, I was about to lose my Kyla.

I can't lose her

"Liam I know it's four in the morning but I need you to come over."
I hurriedly grabbed my keys from the kitchen counter before heading out the door.
"What's going on Nicolai"
"It's about Kyla, she-she collapsed I have to go to the hospital but I can't leave Viktor home alone I-"

I stopped to as a sob escaped my mouth once inside the car and my back started vibrating with several others.
"I'll be right there don't worry"
"Thank you"
I whispered ending the call trying to collect myself and after taking a deep breath with my hands still slightly shaking I started driving as fast as possible passing every red light and after 5 minutes I arrived at the hospital.

Getting out of the car in a hurry I immediately went to where her room was, once I arrived I found my brother in front of the door who was embracing Axel and whispering words of comfort to him.

"Damiano"
I said approaching the two attracting their attention, once in front of the door I tried to go inside but they stopped me.
"None of us can enter, Nicolai she just had a third collapse, if she were to have another one, the doctors must be able to intervene. None of us are allowed inside we have to wait outside"

Axel told me with blood red eyes, his voice breaking as he spoke and just as those words left his mouth I heard the noise of the monitor going off as a flat line appeared.
The doctors came running into the room with a defibrillator, once in front of her one of them started to give compressions on her chest while the others were handling with the defibrillator.

"One, two, three clear"
The doctor holding the defibrillator alerted everyone around him moved but after that nothing happened.

The flatline was still there and the monitor was still going off, I ran my hands through my hair starting to feel my chest tighten as well as my throat, I started pacing in front of the door feeling my breath getting worked up.

"Nicolai you have to calm down"
My brother said grabbing my shoulder but I immediately turned around looking at him with a crazy expression.

"How do you expect me to calm down Damiano when the woman I love is dying before my eyes and I can't do anything to stop it"
I said to him, my voice finally breaking then I looked up at Axel who was sitting on one of the chairs with his head down and tears falling from his eyes onto the floor.
