Chapter 21: Chaos

Alex POV

The whole way I was worried that Haya would try to run away again, but I had faith on the security system in the house, I went to a restaurant to pick up some food and then I went grocery shopping, the mart is full of people shopping and I wonder at the normalcy of the place, I wish my life was that simple and normal.

As I was roaming the drinks section, my cellphone started pinging like crazy and I took it out of my jean pocket and it was the alarm which would set off if the security of the gates would be breached in any way, my heart just stopped and I dropped everything and ran towards the exit, please let her be okay, I prayed to the God and I drived as fast as I could towards the farm house, there was something seriously wrong cause I know haya, she isnt capable of breaking gates or overriding security codes so there is only one explanation, no no Alex dont think like that, your father wont get to her, but the coldness in me is sniping like poison and I know that he had or he will.

Standing there at that place, It is like the world is moving round around me and am standing still too dizzy to understand anything. My eyes were fixed at the half eaten breakfast and my father watch which I guess he left as a msg to me beside her plate, I just stood there in the middle of the kitchen for a minute or hours I dont know how long and then a hand is on my shoulder, but I am too numb to turn around, cause nothing matters now she is gone he has probably killed her by now," I couldnt save her".

"You can, if you get yourself together"Jack said, I didnt realize I spoken my thoughts.

"I cant Jack, he took her"

"Common man she could be alive right now lets go we will find her, you standing here like a dead guy wont bring her back", Jack said trying to hide the pity in his voice but I knew too well that he is feeling bad for me, After my mom, Haya is the only person I truly cared for and now she is gone and there is nothing I could do.

"We cant do anything, we dont even know where he took her, they could be out of city by now if he hasnt killed her yet", my voice cracking and my eyes getting misty, I slide down on the floor, defeated and broken.

"There is someone who would know, we just have to find him, now get your ass up, we would not let her die", Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me up, he pushed me out of house into the car, I walked like a dead zombie.

"Okay, think of someone that your father completely trust and would tell everything", Jack said starting the car.

My mind start working, Afcourse I know someone who would know where haya is, this little hope started a fire within me, Hangon haya am coming for you.

"Take me home"

"Am serious Alex, we need to find her and you wanna go home", Jack said confused and furious.

"I am doing just that Jack, James he know everything, him being a house servant is just a front he is loyal to my dad as a dog I know my dad confide all his secrets to him and even if he doesnt know he can find out and wait a sec how do you know to come here?"

"Glad you are back to your senses and I have the alarm system too, Its my farm house remember", Jack said smiling, his optimism is rubbing on me and I felt like I could breath.

I entered my house, Jack stayed back in the car and I went straight to see James he was in my father study.

"James I need your help"

He looked up from the file cabinet he was arranging.

"Sir, I have been expecting you, your father said you would be home soon and here you are"

"He is always a step ahead of me"

"He certainly is, if you are here to ask me where your father or that girl is, am afraid I cannot help you", He said with absolute determination.

"I understand that", What was I thinking he is too loyal and my father is too smart but he isnt a cold hearted person like my father, "Have you ever loved someone and that person died because you were not able to save them?"

"What kinda question is that?", James asked surprised but there was something else in his eyes regret sadness.

"Tell me james, because the only girl I cared about is gonna die and you are the only person who could save my love, will you not help me?", my voice a broken whisper and I am hoping and praying

"You love her?", James asked totally in shock.

"Do you really think I would try to protect some one from my dad if I feel nothing for that person I dont know how but she is all I got after mom she is the only person who made me feel like am not lost as I thought my soul could be save please dont let him take her away from me please help me I am begging you", I pleaded him.

James stood there like a robot, and then he turned around grabbed a pen and wrote something on a paper.

"I wont let you lose her like I lose my wife, take this, thats all I know good luck kid she is alive for now, that I know", He said giving me the paper.

"Thankyou james I owe you one", I said hugging him.

"Go get her Alex", James said with a ghost of a smile.
