Gerard and I woke up to his alarm clock going off. We each cursed under our breath.  It was Monday. I climbed out of bed without realizing I was still naked. As I felt the cold basement air on every part of my body, I blushed and climbed back into bed to use the blanket to cover my naked body. Gerard didn't seem to notice. Damn, he must have been tired.

"Did we really fall asleep that early last night? We didn't even eat dinner," Gerard said with a laugh. It took him a minute to realize we're both naked too.

"Shit. I hope Mom didn't come home last night," he said, blushing.

I sighed and decided I really had nothing to hide. He had seen me naked last night and now I really needed to get up and get dressed. He stared at me as I climbed out of bed. "Like what you see?" I asked, full of sass. He blushed and looked away.

I ran over to my suitcase and pulled out some clothes for the day. I walked into the bathroom to get dressed, leaving Gerard the rest of the bedroom to dress himself in.

I put on some ripped jeans and a black shirt with a design of red roses in it. I slipped on my combat boots, brushed my hair and teeth, and did my makeup. I left the bathroom about twenty minutes later. Gerard was already dressed, and he sat on the bed waiting for me.

"So if your he's still gone, how is Mikey getting to school?" I asked.

"Oh. She lets him miss school when they visit Dad," Gerard shrugged.

"Oh," I said.

I grabbed my school bag from Gerard's floor and we both got ready for school.

"Wait! Don't forget your notebook! Our song's due today," I reminded Gerard. He nodded and grabbed the notebook from under his bed. I stuffed it into my school bag and held his hand before we left the house together.

"Hey... Um, we're a little early so... can we just walk to school today? I mean it's such a nice day out," Gerard said nervously. He seemed almost afraid of taking the bus. That was weird. But, we did live within walking distance of the school, so I agreed to it. He let out a quiet sigh of relief and intertwined our fingers as we walked to school together.

I had to keep Lily off of the bus. I didn't want her to see me being bullied. I didn't want them to see her with me and bully her instead. I love her, and it's my job to protect her now. I let out a sigh of relief as Lily agreed to walk to school with me. She gave me a weird look, but I just intertwined our fingers as we walked.

We arrived at school in about fifteen minutes. My stomach flipped as she kept holding my hand. Nobody at school knew we were dating yet. I was happy she was willing to display our affection in public. She wasn't ashamed to be dating me.

She smiled up at me as I found myself lost in thought. After the bell rang, she went off to English class, and I went off to math. I hated being separated from her for so long, but I knew it'd be worth it once we got to turn our song in for music class.

I walked into math class and took my usual seat at the back of the class. That's when the jocks filed in. This should be fun.

When I got to English class, our teacher announced that we'd be working in groups of three to work on a vocabulary assignment. I groaned under my breath. I didn't have friends here yet. When our teacher announced we could now pick our group, I stayed in my seat. There was no need to get up if I had nobody to go to. I was just about to start the assignment by myself when a tall girl with light blonde, almost white hair approached me. She had lots of dark black eyeshadow around her blue eyes and she was very pale.
