"Thank you for bringing your car. It's too hot for your motorcycle."

Greg looks at me and smiles as we were pulling out of the driveway. I wasn't sure what he had planned but he wanted to take me out of the house and around town.

"It's nice out today." He looks around before looking over at me.

Looking out the window, it was sunny with no clouds. It was already hot and it was only eleven in the morning at the moment.

"If it gets too hot today, we're going swimming somewhere."

Greg looks at me. "You want to go swimming?"

"Sure."

"Where?"

I shrug as I knew there wasn't anywhere around here to swim. There wasn't anything around here and the nearest beach was over an hour away.

"We can always pack and head to the beach."

"Too long of a ride." I leaned my head against the seat. "We'll just burn today."

Greg chuckles before pulling down a road and driving. I kept my eyes out the window and watched the buildings go by.

This town was a nightmare at times and I wish I wasn't here but Haley lived here ever since she moved out of our moms house.

Mom and I didn't live here but when she died, I had no choice but to move here.

The only nice part about it was that one place I came across two days ago. I knew that was going to be my place to escape to for now on.

Leaning up a little, I hooked my phone up to the Bluetooth on his stereo. I look over at him as he was watching me before looking back at the road.

I leaned back into the seat and scrolled through my music playlist as I was trying to find something to listen to.

My mood was in between at the moment so I had to figure a song out that would match my mood.

"You got a new bracelet?"

Looking over at Greg, he motioned towards my wrist and when I looked over I saw the bracelet that Miss Arianna gave me before looking back at him.

"Yeah. You know I love jewelry."

"Oh I know." He shakes his head before turning down another road.

Looking back at my phone, I played some Tate McRae before leaning my head back and looking out window.

"Why this girly sad music?"

I shrug before staring out the window, getting lost in the music as my mind was going somewhere far away.

Music was definitely my escape from reality.

After a few songs, Greg pulls into a parking lot. I look around before furrowed my eyebrows then looked over at him.

"Where are we?"

"I have to pay some bills. Come with me."

"Gross." I shook my head before unbuckling my seat belt and getting out of the car with him. I look around before placing my phone in my pocket and stopping next to him as he was taking his wallet out of his pocket.

I followed him inside a place and the smell was something I didn't like. I couldn't explain the smell but it smelled like a really old place with dust and it was bothering my allergies.

Turning my head, I covered my face before sneezing. I turn back towards Greg as he was watching me. "You ok?"

"Allergies."
