When I got back home from the café, Haley was already asking questions about where I was and who I went with.

I told her I was going to the café and meeting someone slipped out.

Which now I'm regretting.

She wouldn't leave me alone about it so I told her it was a friend.

"Greg?"

I shook my head and ignored her stares as I was drinking a soda from the fridge and tried to avoid eye contact.

She never did leave it alone and eventually I had no other choice.

"Miss Arianna."

"The.. your therapist?"

The look of confusion was clearly on her face and she kept asking me questions about why and how.

It was irritating and I finally told her that's she been a friend to me.

That made her smile.

"I never heard a therapist being friends with their patients. How cute."

I rolled my eyes at that.

It wasn't cute.

But I didn't tell her that.

I just ignored her for the remainder of the night and went to bed early so I can avoid any more conversation on this.

When the next morning came, I didn't want to get out of bed. I stayed there for almost an hour and thought about skipping today and faking my sickness.

But after replaying it over in my head, I decided to face the day and get out of bed.

"Another day."

After I got out of the bathroom, I got dressed then grabbed my phone and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

Haley made coffee and left a note.

We're talking when I get home. Love you.

Staring at the note, I wasn't sure what she wanted to talk about but part of me knew it had something to do with yesterday.

"Great."

Shaking my head, I made some coffee and toast before grabbing everything I needed and leaving the house.

Once I was outside, I made sure the door was locked then placed everything in my car.

I got a text from Haley telling me to take the trash can to the road before I left.

Sighing, I walked to the house and opened the garage before grabbing the trash can and walking to the road.

After stopped, I heard noises coming from the street. I looked over and saw a kid on a small tricycle as they were coming down the road towards me.

Once they got close, they started waving before coming to a stop and smiling at me.

It was a little girl.

"Hi." She smiles up at me.

"Hey." I look around for her parents but didn't see anyone.

She looks me over before smiling at me. "What's your name?"

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Morgan."

"I have a friend named Morgan. She's almost an adult but we're still friends." She smiles as I nod at her.

"My name is Cayslee."

Looking at her, I couldn't help but furrow my eyebrows. "That's a... interesting name." I tried being nice.
