"Morgan? What are you doing here?"
Mrs. Janet was taking off her glasses as she smiled at me. I had shut the door behind me before slowly walking to her desk that she was sitting at.
"I tried calling Miss Arianna but she didn't answer. Is she still here?"
I watch as she looks at the time on her watch before looking at me.
"Yes, but she has a patient right now."
Nodding, I was about to turn around until she stopped me, asking what was wrong.
"Nothing." I say as I look at her.
"Are you sure? You didn't show up this morning for your appointment. Arianna did say she was going to check on you." She slightly smiles. "Everything ok?"
"It's fine." I shrug. "Just have a lot on my mind."
She nods then smiles. "Well, you're welcome to sit here and wait. Shouldn't be too much longer."
I was thinking about just leaving but I wanted to stay and apologize to Miss Arianna.
Nodding, I sat down at the chair in front of her desk as she started looking through some papers on her desk.
The boredom started kicking in a few minutes later and I was on the verge of leaving.
But Mrs. Janet got a call then stood up before smiling at me. "She is free. So you can go to her room."
I nod as I stood up snd walked out of her room before walking to the elevator and going up to the floor.
After I got off, I walked down the hallway and stopped in front of the room. I was hesitant on knocking or walking in, so I stood there for a while.
When I decided to walk in, I slowly opened the door and stepped inside after slightly knocking.
I looked around until I saw her sitting at the desk. She looks up and I could see the complete confusion on her face as I shut the door behind me and walked towards the desk.
"Morgan? What are you doing here?"
I looked at her for a moment, trying to find the words to say what I wanted to say.
"I wanted to apologize for earlier.. I didn't- I'm sorry.."
She slightly smiles up at me. "It's ok, Morgan. I understand."
I kept watching her before sighing. "Why are you so understanding? This isn't the first time I treated you like shit."
"Morgan, I've known you for almost a month. I know you and how you are. Sometimes you can't help what's going through your head and the way you are.. I'm not going to hold that against you."
"Plus I knew you'd come and apologize."
I gave her a confused look. "How?"
"Because I know you, Morgan." She slightly smiles as I stood there not knowing what to say.
Standing here made me realize that Miss Arianna knows me better than I thought.
I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
As I was standing there with her looking at me, I decided to leave. She already said what I wanted to say so there wasn't any reason to stay.
"Are you leaving?"
I turn around to see her watching me before I nodded. "Yeah.. I just came here to tell you I was sorry."
She nods as she looks at me. "You can stay a little longer if you want. We can talk."
