Three hours.
That's how long I was on the phone for with her.
It was mostly her talking but I was listening and nodding silently to myself.
Haley walked in a few times but saw I was on the phone then walked out.
I knew I would have to explain to her who I was talking to for so long and why.
I just wasn't ready for that conversation.
But the conversation that Miss Arianna and I were having was mostly about her feelings towards me and where my mind was at the moment after finding out those said feelings.
"All over the place." That's what I told her.
Then the last thing she said to me before we hung up, left my emotions and feelings even more in a whirl and I sat on my bed for a solid thirty minutes.
She asked, "Can we meet at the café in an hour?"
Knowing I would have to face her and actually talk to her.
This whole situation was all over the place.
After our phone call ended, it was time to face my sister. I wasn't sure if I would tell her the truth but she could sense my lies so I was stuck.
When I walked downstairs, she was in the living room. I saw the tv on and once she heard me come in, she turns towards me.
I walk to the couch before slowly sitting down. I didn't look at her but I could feel her watching me before she turned the TV off.
"You want to talk now?"
I look over at her and slowly nod before leaning back. I wasn't sure where to begin or what to say cause it was going to come out weird.
"I was on the phone with Miss Arianna."
She slowly nods. "Your therapist."
"Yeah. She was asking why I haven't showed up."
"And what did you say?"
"I had a lot on my mind."
She nods before sighing. "Did she believe that?"
"Yeah. She's understanding like that."
I saw Haley watch me for a moment before looking at the tv. "I still want to know what's going on, Morgan. You're not acting like yourself."
"I haven't been myself for years." I clarified.
"You know what I mean."
Nodding, I look away. I couldn't bring myself to even tell her but I didn't like the fact I kept things from her.
"Well," She stood up. "When you're ready to tell me.. let me know."
Before she walked out of the living room, I stopped her. "Ok.. I'll tell you." I saw her turn around and stood next to the couch before crossing her arms. "Apart from my depressed self cause I don't have an explanation for that.."
Here goes nothing.
"Miss Arianna has been meeting me at the café to have lunch and she's been nice to me.. unlike other therapists.. she's been caring and understanding.."
Haley looks at me before nodding. "Well, that's sweet of her-"
"She likes me."
That made her stare at me with an expression I couldn't read and it was silent for a sold five minutes.
I could literally hear a buzzing in my ear from the deafening silence.
"Um.. she likes you in a friendly sort of way or..?"
