The drive to the café was basically me stuck in my head and it made it hard to concentrate on the road.
Miss Arianna had texted me and told me that she was on her way there and it should take about twenty minutes by the time I had left the house.
I was less than ten minutes away from the café so I'd get there first.
Which I wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not.
I don't know why I even agreed to this. I knew she was just going to tell me the same shit again and I wasn't sure how to respond to it.
But after mine and Haley's conversation, I wasn't sure what I felt for her.
Part of me didn't like her but the other part did like her.
She tried getting in my head and making me think I actually like her.
Maybe just a little.
I wasn't sure if I liked her cause of how she's been understanding and caring or if I just like her in general.
Maybe my feelings for her were there but I've been keeping them down.
It's for the best anyway.
As I pulled into the parking lot, I sat there for a moment before sighing and getting out. I locked my doors and walked to the front door of the café before walking inside.
I took the usual seat near the window and sat down before the waiter came a few moments later.
He asked what I wanted and I just said coffee was fine.
After he left, I had my phone on the table in front of me and I scrolled through it as the time passed by.
My coffee came a few minutes later and I sat there mostly messing with the straw before leaning my elbow on the table and resting my head in my hand.
As the minutes went on and it has now been fifteen minutes, I heard the front door to the café chime and when I looked up, I saw Miss Arianna walking in.
She looked around until her eyes landed on me then she walked towards the table and sat down across and placed her purse on the table.
I saw her slightly smile as I was watching her before looking down at my phone.
"What did want us here for?" I ask as I looked up at her.
"You already know why I wanted us here." I watched as she looked away for a moment before clearing her throat. "I'm sorry for saying that Monday and making you not want to come back. I just needed to get that off my chest but I didn't mean to make you run away."
"I didn't run away." I saw her look at me. "I just didn't feel good that week."
She kept looking at me. "Morgan, I know when you're lying. I know you missed a week of therapy cause of what I said."
I shrug as I look down at the table then back up at her as she spoke.
"What I said was true, Morgan. I really care about you and I have feelings towards you."
No words were coming out of my mouth just like Monday. I didn't know what to say so I remained silent and had thoughts running through my head.
"You don't have to say anything.. but I do want to ask you something."
I look at her before nodding, waiting for her to answer.
"If you're not going anything tonight, since it's Saturday.. I was wondering if I can take you out to eat."
That caught me off guard and she must have seen my reaction cause she quickly covered up.
"If you want.."
I looked at her for a moment as I was thinking but didn't know what to say.
To me, this was sudden and quick but I knew she liked me for over a week now and she claimed she liked me after a week of meeting.
But should I even give her a chance?
My mind was all over the place and I had that annoying voice telling me to get up and leave.
"Ok.."
Her eyes lit up and small smile formed on her face. "Good. Where you want to go?" I shrug as I didn't care where we went or what we did. "How about I take you over to the city and we just pick a place."
I nod as I look at her before looking around the café for a moment until her phone started ringing.
She looks at me and excused herself before getting up and walking away.
Leaning back, I sighed then remembered Haley wanted me to text her. I took my phone out and sent her a text telling her about what's going on, knowing she's going to be all in my face when I get there.
Then I saw a text from Greg, asking if I was ok. I figured Haley must have told him about me missing all week and the fact that I didn't contact anyone those days.
I messaged him back then saw Miss Arianna come back and sit down. She smiled at me. "Sorry about that. Did you order some food before I got here?"
"Just coffee."
She nods then calls the the waiter over and orders some food for her. She asks if I want something but I told her no as I watched her.
After he left, she looks around before her eyes caught mine and smile formed on her face.
I looked away then outside as I saw the cars drive by. I was so over this town that I was ready to leave.
When the food came for her, she mostly ate in silence and I was on my phone. I wasn't sure what to even talk about but I'm glad she had her face stuffed with food cause I didn't want to talk.
After she was done, we left the café and walked outside. The hot air instantly hit and I felt myself already sweating as we walked to the parking lot.
It was ridiculous.
"If it gets any hotter, I don't know what to do."
I look over at her as she was fanning herself before she slightly smiled at me once we reached our cars.
"So.. I was thinking I'll come by and get you around six. That's about five hours from now."
I nod as I unlocked my car then told her bye before we both got into our cars.
After she left, I sat there for a moment before sighing and leaving the parking lot.
My mind was on what was going to happen tonight and part of me wanted to call quits.
I just didn't want to go but then again, I did.
It was a never ending war inside my head.
Pulling each side in different directions.
Indecisive.
I liked her.
Then again, I didn't.
