I was standing against the rail behind my class, looking down at Bakugou fighting Tokoyami. However, I didn't have to wait long because Tokoyami gave up. I turned around to make my way toward the arena, even if there was a little break before the final match.
I stopped in front of a vending machine to buy some (sweets/snacks) and ate them. From my peripheral vision, I saw Hitoshi and I turned toward him.
I decided to not wear the new jacket I was given, and Hitoshi had taken off his t-shirt and gave it to me.
"You know that you'll have to give me that shirt if that one gets ripped, right?" He said while pointing at his black t-shirt covering my body. It was a bit tight and I was highly uncomfortable because of that.
"I don't know why you love that shirt so much," I kept eating and he took some of it from my hand. I jokingly growled at him, and he giggled and suddenly hugged me.
I couldn't contain my surprised yelp at how out of character he was being. But I didn't pay too much mind to that because he began sobbing.
"Hey, w-why are crying, S-Shi-chan?" My hand went up to caress his hair and he pulled me closer to his body.
"I-I wanted t-t-to win too... it's s-so frus-trating," his words were a bit muffled as he pressed his face to my face, his sobbing not helping much either.
I didn't know what to say, so I just rocked his body side to side slowly. Eventually, he calmed down, and it was already my time to go.
"Come on, stop crying already, you have to go and cheer for me, right?" He pulled away sniffing and nodding, Hitoshi looked at me, his eyes puffy and red making his eye bags more prominent.
"And don't forget that ice cream you promised me." I laughed and nodded while I hugged him again.
"Wish me luck, Shi-chan~" my teasing tone had him blushing and looking away.
"I hate it when you do that..." he whispered and I giggled. His purples eyes locked onto mine and he got close to me, planting a soft and longing peck on my cheek.
He had his cheeks darker than ever and I pressed my lips against his forehead.
"See ya~," I walked away towards the arena, feeling slightly nervous.
I got there relatively quickly, and Bakugou and I were standing in front of each other, ready to win.
"The last battle of this U.A Sports Festival will finally begin! The top of the first years will be decided on this fight! The finals! From the Hero Course, Bakugou Katsuki! Versus, the young boy who seems invincible, front General Studies, (L/n) (M/n)!" Bakugou scoffed at my presentation.
"Invincible my ass," I couldn't hold my chuckle and he growled at me, his scowl deepening.
"Ready?! Start!!" The very moment Present Mic's voice stopped, Bakugou propelled himself up in the air with an explosion. I kept my eyes on his arms the whole time while my quirk activated.
I moved to one side a mere second before he could explode my face off. He seemed to have noticed my movement and changed his attack, but I stopped his arms, and his quirk didn't work.
His face was full of surprise, and he barely landed on his feet because he couldn't use his explosion to balance himself.
"Why don't we have a fistfight? You seem to rely a lot on your quirk," he was angry, but not quite yelling at me.
"Okay, I'll beat your ass still, Tsuki-chan~" his cheeks went red at the nickname I called him, and charged at me when I gave him his arms' mobility back.
It was like I could see him in slow motion. Right before he could punch my face, I grabbed his fist and turn it behind his back.
"This seems to have turned into a quirkless fight! The pride of both men in game!" Bakugou struggled a bit, but still manage to break away from my grip.
He had the angriest face I have seen in him, not even the one he made at Monoma during the Calvary Battle was close to this one.
"You bastard..." I have had enough of this little kids' game, so I ran at him and got ready to punch his abdomen.
He dodged with an explosion that made me cough because of the smoke.
So he changed his mind about the no quirks thingy, eh?
"If I can't win this battle, you won't win either!" I heard the explosion Bakugou was making and when I looked over my shoulder, I saw him spinning in the air.
"He added speed and turn to the big explosion we saw against Uraraka! He's like a human missile!" Mentally, I had to agree to Present Mic statement.
I lowered my body and placed my hands on the ground, enhancing my arms and getting ready to dodge.
"Let's see if you can stop this, fucker!" He screamed, his voice getting out louder over the noises of his explosions and the cheer of the crowd. Well, at least I could hear him. "Howitzer Impact!"
Now!
The big explosion made it impossible for me to see where Bakugou exactly was, and the brightness made me have to close my eyes.
I went way too high up!
The smoke was clearing off and I saw Bakugou on the floor, he stood up and looked around the arena. The audience was confused as to where I had gone.
And that was when gravity hit me, and I began to fall. Hearing the people, Bakugou looked up and was about to do another explosion, but he seemed unable to and had gripped his forearm.
I kept my eyes on his legs...
1...
2...
3...
Bakugou looked up and I saw his scowl turn into... worry?
4...
The ground was extremely close, and I noticed Cementoss touching the cement on his stand. He probably was going to do something to stop my fall to death. Or lessen the wounds at least.
5!
I straightened my body and enhanced my legs. A wince of pain went past my lips, feeling how tired and worn out my legs were getting. But this was it, I couldn't give up now.
I covered my eyes when I got too close to the impact, and the ground from the arena broke. The wind's force was too much, making my hair flow. I opened my eyes, slowly.
"Bakugou-kun is out of bounds! Which means (L/n)-kun it's the winner of this year's Sports Festival!" I was panting while my legs collapsed, and I ended up sitting down in the arena.
My eyes were watering as I heard my class screaming my name. But Hitoshi's voice was the only one I could hear at the moment.
I won Shi-chan... for you.
