"May I... Think about it first?"

Endeavor seemed taken aback by my question, making me guess that he wasn't expecting me to have my doubts, but he seemed to be taking it okay, after all, I hadn't said 'no' directly, "

"Excuse me," I stood up from my seat and headed to the bathroom. As I began to walk away, I could hear both pro-heroes talking, probably picking up their conservation where they left it before I arrived, and I entered the bathroom.

I took a deep breath and stood in front of one of the sinks, placing my hands on the marble and closing my eyes for a moment. I opened the tab and wet my hands, tapping my face a few times. Now that I knew why I was called here my nerves and anxiety had subdued, but now I was overwhelmed with uncertainty.

However, I took these few minutes to analyse and understand the situation. I wasn't planning on rejecting the offer, but I guess I just had to think about it...?

"Well... Who can teach me more about using my quirk than the number one hero?" I whispered to myself as I closed the water, glancing at my reflection and sighing before looking away, "He's probably used to helping others maximize their potential..." With this monologue to myself, I grabbed a paper towel from the dispenser and dried my hands, throwing it in the trash can near it.

I walked out of the bathroom and began my way to the table. I noticed Endeavor was standing next to the table, "I want a world where heroes have time off, Endeavour," and after that, there was a tense atmosphere between him and Hawks, so I wasn't sure if I should say anything, but maybe breaking the silence...

"Endeavor-"

"Step back, ma'am!"

Everything after that happened so quickly, and I barely got time to cover my face with my arms from the flying shards of glass, "Who..is..the..strongest..one?" I looked at the Nomu as it spoke, poking its head through the spot of the glass it broke.

This was the first time I had ever seen a Nomu face-to-face instead of in the news. And... I wasn't aware they could talk...

"Hawks, evacuate everyone! Paralyze, help him!" Endeavor calling out to me brought me back to where we were and what was happening, there were many civilians in this building so I had to get moving.

"Alright!"

"Understood, what about you?" I heard Hawks talking to Endeavor.

"They weren't simple rumours, eh? Must be my lucky day," I saw him getting ready to attack the Nomu, and I activated my quirk when I saw the Nomu moving its arm back, as if getting ready to punch through the glass, preventing him from moving, "But anyway, this is what I came here for. Flashfire fist! Jet Burn!" With that, he and the Nomu were out of the building and away from the window.

"Endeavor-san, you can fly?!" I walked closer to Hawks and I maintained my sight on the Nomu, keeping it as immovable as I could while I still had it within my field of vision.

"I'm just floating in the air! Pay attention!" I knelt next to Hawks and unfortunately, I had to look away from the Nomu, just to make sure the lady was unharmed, "That thing is still moving."

"Miss, are you alright?" She was shaking and crying in Hawks' arms, clinging onto his clothes, but she looked at me and nodded a few times, "Come on, let's get you out of here," I smiled at her to reassure her that I would keep her safe, and Hawks let her go, helping her up on her feet.

I picked her up in my arms and enhanced my legs, but the building shook and debris began to fall on us.

"Oi, this is not the time to show off, number one," Hawks muttered after he balanced himself. The lady grabbed onto my clothes like she had done to Hawks, and I held her tighter in my arms, "Get her out of here, kid."

I nodded and stepped closer to the long-gone window, "Hold on tight, miss," I spoke to her and she looked at me, slightly scared, "And close your eyes. I'm gonna get you somewhere safe."

Without complaining, she did as I told her, and I jumped out of the window onto a nearby rooftop, continuing to make my way to the ground and far enough away, soon spotting an evacuation route less clogged than the first one I saw. I stopped and placed her down, and she let go of me.

"Can you walk?" She nodded, wiping her tears away, "Okay, there's an evac point a few meters behind you, head over there, there are still people I need to help," she muttered an 'alright' and turned around, jogging her way to the police officers in charge of evacuating the civilians in a 3 kilometres radius.

I enhanced my legs and jumped my way back onto the lowest rooftop, heading back to help Hakws and Endeavor.

When I arrived, there were two more heroes bringing support to both top heroes. They were shooting attacks at the Nomu, and I saw, from my elevated point, how it was only a head and neck, with the rest of its body gone. Feathers were moving around carrying debris and taking them away, and I caught a glimpse of Endeavor and Hawks as they flew past me.

"You're in the way!" The Nomu exclaimed and it threw...

More Nomus at us?! You gotta be-!

I gritted my teeth and moved forward, keeping my sight on the first off-white Nomu I saw, using my quirk to enhance my legs and jumping off the roof. I had a good trajectory, I would land right on the Nomu's head and squish its brain under my feet.

And that's what I did.

The Nomu was about to attack a civilian who hadn't evacuated yet, and I straightened my body, keeping my body tense to prevent the bounce back of the impact. I stopped its arm as it lifted above its head, and landed my impact on it, effectively turning its brain to mush under my shoes.

However, there was a second Nomu with it, the one which I could only guard the punch with my arms, and the force of its hit sent me back a few feet.

At least, it had turned its focus on me, and it didn't notice Hawks coming behind it. His feathers cut them around their neck, leaving them immobilized.

"Step back until you can't see what's going on here," he spoke to all the people who were still in the nearby buildings. With this Nomus the evacuation radius may have to get bigger, so we'll have to defeat them here before they go on a rampage, "Paralyze, help the people-"

Behind Hawks, there was Nomu rapidly approaching him and he felt it too, as he turned around, holding tight onto both feathers in his hands. I activated my quirk as Hawks got ready to attack the Nomu, but it fell limp in front of him while releasing a screech before it could get within his range.

Making the Nomu pass out would have nothing good as it would've given it the have to wake up, so I made the decision to kill it, after all, that's what we had to do to ensure everyone's safety.

"Alright... Thank you, let's keep going," Hawks mumbled before taking off into the air, and I jumped back on the rooftop, using the elevated advantage to find the Nomus quicker.

Sorry for not updating, life hasn't been exactly kind lately and I've started studying again, while trying to figure out what to do with my life lol
