The rest of our first day was pretty much about just following Endeavour around the city, and I continued to lag behind, but I didn't let that shake me up, already coming up in my head with possible support items additions to my suit. Something that would make keeping up with them easier whenever I'm unable to use my quirk.
With that thought in mind, I walked into the changing room, picked out a notebook and pen from my bag that I had to keep in my locker, sat on one of the benches, and began to scribble down different ideas.
A retractable zipline, a grappling hook, boost boots, and maybe even a small jetpack would work. For now, I was just theorizing.
"What are you doing?" The sound of Katsuki's voice echoed in the rather quiet room, and I answered his question without looking up.
"Planning changes to my suit, mostly support items..." I trailed on as I wrote down how I could implement every option and which would be the best for mobility.
"Support items?" Izuku asked and I nodded, still focused on my writing.
"I fell behind a lot today, I hated it, so to improve..." I mumbled, almost too entranced in my brainstorming to form more than the words I needed.
After that, there was a small silence, filled by only the shuffling of clothing as they changed out of their hero suits. "(M/n)," Shouto was the one to speak this time, and now I did look up since he remained quiet when I didn't move, "The old man has a few sidekicks that specialize in support items, you can talk to him about it."
Feeling like I could be able to do better sooner than expected, I stood up from my spot and turned around to leave the room, still wearing my hero suit, "Wait, you're going now?" I heard Katsuki as he approached me, the heavy sounds of his boots resonating as he walked.
True was, it was kinda late already, but I knew Endeavour was still around, he said he would do a last patrol and come back, so I was willing to wait for him. Besides, I didn't really like seeing all three of them easily keeping up with Endeavour, so I wasn't gonna wait around for those items.
"Tomorrow will be exactly the same otherwise, I also wanna learn how to get better and be stronger, Katsuki," I could see his crimson eyes shifting a bit at my words, probably in understanding, and he didn't argue back again.
I made my back back to the front office, and sat on the ground next to the double sliding doors of Endeavour's office, silently waiting and scribbling more ideas that ended up being too unlikely or plain stupid. Thankfully, I only had to wait around an hour, when I spotted the flame hero coming back from his patrol. He briefly greeted the sidekicks who were clocking out for the day, and he ended up spotting me as I stood up from the wooden floor.
He seemed kinda surprised as he approached, and I wondered why for a split second. "I didn't expect you'll still be up at this time," I tried to chuckle at that, and I rocked on the ball of my feet, suddenly a little nervous about what I wanted to ask, what if he thought I was weak for needing-? "Do you need anything, Paralyze?"
"Oh! Right! I uh..." I fidgeted with the pen in my hand, trying to find my words. Endeavour, probably noticing my hesitation, slid the door open and signaled me to come in, I muttered a small 'thank you' in response and watched as he walked over to his desk, turned around and leaned against it.
He began taking the gauntlets off his wrists and soon crossed his arms. He seemed very patient as he waited for me to talk, and I remembered why I came here.
"So, uh... Shouto told me that there are a few sidekicks who specialize in development, and I wanted to ask permission to get one, sir?" I finished hesitantly, unsure of how he would react to my petition.
