Walking underneath the balcony and over to the door, you cautiously opened it with Bendy standing about two feet behind you. Every opportunity to creep you out seemed to have been stretched to the full extent of its intentions, as you were uncertain what would lie behind this door.
There might have been another insane creature, like the one in the maze with the projector on its head. You despised of the memories; watching the ink demon snap its neck through the hole in the miracle station. It haunted you whenever it came to mind.
But unbeknownst to you...Bendy had known exactly what was there.
The demon standing behind you was radiating with pride, and said nothing as he beamed in his own achievements. He never bothered to explain the entire thing to you, but he knew that you were aware that most creatures down here feared the ink demon. Despite how desperately you had tried to get him to consider sympathizing with the creatures, he couldn't help but love having them at his mercy.
As you stood in front of him and opened the door, the demon's grin grew wider as the inklings filling the room began to realize that he was standing behind this deceiving girl they had locked eyes on.
They all immediately scrambled into the furthest corners of the room, letting out distorted shrieks and wails of pain and agony. Of course, you were concerned about their reaction, but tried not to let it bother you too much. There wasn't much you could do about it anyways, and the toon behind you had repeatedly declined your urge to ease their minds.
Slowly walking further into the room, you glanced around and noticed a ventilation shaft on the wall. It looked like the only other way out, and deciding not to disturb these creatures any longer, you went towards it. The sooner you got Bendy out of there, the better.
"Come on Bendy, there's a ven-"
You turned your head to look back at the ink demon, instantly cutting your words short.
Bendy wasn't paying much attention to you; he was looking at all of the ink-covered creatures, who flinched at his every move, squishing themselves into the corners with terrified eyes.
He was doing the same thing that he had done to you in the lounge. The toon moved uncomfortably slow, whipping his head down to stare at certain inklings and purposely getting feared reactions out of them. With every centimeter of movement, there was a startled shriek that followed from one of them.
Bendy chuckled to himself, completely immersed in his own satisfaction.
That's right. Know your place~
"Bendy!"
The toon broke from his thoughts and quickly turned his head to look at you, and the two of you immediately realized how bad of an idea it was to both yell, and move that suddenly. The lost ones completely lost it (no pun intended. hehe) and bolted all over the room. The ink demon turned towards the door and watched as the creatures all clambered out the way you had come in through, their screaming being echoed throughout the building.
Within seconds, the room was empty.
You began to feel terrible about causing that reaction, and glared at Bendy from where you stood beside the vent. The demon burst out laughing, and he staggered over to the door with uncontrollable cackling.
"Hah ha! So long suckers!" The toon spoke in between laughs, comically waving out the door as if to tell them farewell.
"Bendy! Why the fuck were you doing that?!" You barked, crossing your arms and approaching him with burning anger in your eyes. He had no shame when it came to bullying these living things.
The demon's laughter died down, and he turned to look at you again with a huge grin. He observed your angered expression and thought nothing of it. He didn't think that the current situation was that big of a deal.
"Oh come on. That was funny."
"No it wasn't! You can't just use their fear for your own amusement!" You responded. "They have feelings too!"
"Then why the hell did you yell like that?" Bendy asked, his grin already flattened out into a blank expression. "They get easily scared with loud sounds...and me, of course~" He placed a hand on his hip and examined the claws on his other hand, blatantly tuning out your scolding like an angsty teen getting yelled at by their mom.
You bickered and bickered about how much of a bitch he was towards the other creatures, and he continued to inspect his claws all the while. A few minutes went by, and suddenly the sound of your pissed off ranting came to a stop.
"You're not even listening to me, are you?"
He lifted his head and lowered his claws back down to his side. "Not one bit."
You sighed with irritation, but didn't say anything in response.
Bendy smirked at your defeated appearance, "Are we done here? Alright let's go." He said quickly, giving you no time to answer the question and walking over to the vent. You hesitated, but turned to follow him with a grumble. "You are ridiculous." You growled under your breath, shaking your head in disbelief.
"Are you gonna keep pouting?" The ink demon spoke suddenly, his voice projecting the words in more of a joking tone. The toon was amused, you could tell. He kept himself facing towards the vent, but stopped walking and stood there for a moment.
Sighing, you walked up beside him with a frown. "You'll never change."
"You know you love me~"
"Yeah, but you really push your luck sometimes."
With a huff, you stopped as Bendy stepped to the side, gesturing to the vent with an outstretched arm. You placed your hands inside the vent and lifted your legs inside, crawling further in and turning back to the ink demon.
"I'll meet you on the other end of the vent." He told you. "There shouldn't be more than one exit, and the other pathways are dead ends. Getting lost in there is literally impossible."
He chuckled and gazed down at you for a little while longer, "But knowing you, you might actually find a way." He sneered with a widening grin, leaning his head down closer to you.
"Oh, shut up. I'll be fine." You spoke with a laugh, pushing his face away with a finger. The anger you felt was slowly seeping out of your body and disappearing completely. It wasn't very easy to stay mad when he was constantly making cocky remarks like that.
"I'm still mad at you." You told him, hoping that he wouldn't assume it was that easy to deter you from the issue. He gave you a look that promptly told you how futile your attempt was at deflecting his charisma, and you accepted it without objection.
"I think we both know that's not true, (Y/n)."
