"I can feel her approach."
Alice smiled to herself, her eyes slowly falling closed as a searcher sat attentively from behind her.
"Send out everyone." She ordered the inkling, pointing a claw at them demandingly with her head still turned away. She knew that the creature hadn't moved, and it wouldn't dare to leave when she was instructing it on what she had planned. The angel had been informed of the girl and her group. Of course, she wasn't a fan of the idea of a rebellion against her.
"Send as many as you have to. Kill them all, but leave the girl alive. I want her to watch as my minions tear apart everything she cares about down here."
She would get the ink demon as well. Alice would make him understand what pain felt like, and not the pain of being abandoned, but physical pain.
"I'll cut that stupid smile right off of him."
You could feel the tension growing the higher you climbed up the stairs. When this was over, you hoped to come out alive. That was all there was left to hope for, and everyone else here with you knew that.
The door was easy to differentiate, and your chest tightened when you saw the sign that read, level 9. Was this plan a little crazy? Sort of. I mean, you were only human, and the others were made of ink. Norman was probably the only one who couldn't die, although maybe Bendy was immortal too. Whatever the case was, it didn't matter at the moment.
"Norman." You started, turning to the projectionist as you made it to the top of the stairs.
"I'd like you to try and keep everyone else within your line of sight. I'm assuming that this is going to end in violence, and you're the only one that can't die."
Norman was slow to give you an answer, and it was probably because he had no clue how you knew about his curse. He was unaware that Bendy had told you, and rather than asking about it, he simply let it go and nodded.
You noticed his hesitant actions and gave him a short reply. "I promise, me and Bendy can explain that later, if we get out of this."
Glancing at your father and Connor, you let out a deep breath. "You don't have to go out there dad." You told him firmly. "I understand how you feel about this."
"No, It's alright, (Y/n)." He responded, waving away the idea dismissively. "I want to be there for you, since I couldn't in the past."
You gave him a sad nod, and clutched your pipe in your hand before slowly opening the door in front of the group and making your way down the stairs of the balcony you ended up on. As Allison had told you, outside of the door was the entirety of level 9, with the large statue of Alice hanging over her safehouse door with the sign reading, "She's quite a gal!" on it. Guarding the safehouse was a large gate, and it was locked up tight.
"Ugh, I remember this place." Connor spoke quietly, peeking his head out as you carefully stepped out into room at the bottom of the stairs. I guess you were gonna have to get Alice's attention if you were going to get through the gate. She was the only one who could control it.
The room was quiet and empty for the longest time, and you were trying to think about the best possible way to approach the situation. It was almost like the area was deserted on purpose, as though thousands were waiting behind the scenes for the perfect moment to strike.
And you know what? You weren't wrong...
You and your small group were just in front of the gate when you heard screeching and groaning from behind you. You whipped around, and you heard Connor lightly gasp as dozens of searchers rose up from the flooring and surrounded you.
