"Don't give me your bullshit excuses!!"

"Ma'am, please refrain from yelling."

"Refrain? REFRAIN!? You're not the one who's been getting nothing but crap, day after day!!! WHERE THE HELL IS MY DAUGHTER!!!"

The situation back at your mother's house was not getting any better, and the woman was completely out of patience. She glared at the officer standing in front of her. Another day had gone by, and nothing new was reported.

People began to gossip about the mysterious disappearance of (y/n), and there were folks who seemed to think the girl vanished out of thin air. There was literally nothing to explain where she disappeared to. Your mother was furious with the authorities, but who wouldn't be in a crisis like this? Her daughter was with her one day, and completely gone the next. It was simply bizarre.

The woman planted her face into her hands, her emotions slowly erupting from the inside. It was heartbreaking to have to spend her days thinking that her daughter might never return.

"Day after day..." She whispered, her eyes puffy and sore from crying over the loss of (y/n).

"Day after day, I wait here...I wait, and wait...Yet there isn't a SINGLE thing you can tell me about what happened to my daughter..."

The officer frowned, his gaze on the emotional woman unmoving.

"You shouldn't speak too soon, ma'am."

The woman looked up, and both her and the officer turned towards the doorway. A man dressed in uniform, much like the officer, walked into the room. He sat down on a chair beside the two, holding a small ziplock in his hands.

"We found this...It belongs to your daughter, does it not?"

The man held up the ziplock, and inside the clear plastic bag was a phone. It wasn't just any ordinary phone, and that fact was made clear as he took the device out of the bag, turning it on to gaze upon the recognizable lock screen.

"That's (y/n)'s phone! Where did you find it!?"

The man sighed, placing the phone back inside the bag. "Well...That's the bad news..."

That day couldn't have gotten any worse for your mother. She clenched her fists, preparing for the worst of the worst to spill out of his mouth. "What kind of news?" She huffed, closing her eyes as if to brace herself for the impact.

"We found this on the outskirts of an abandoned animation studio. We are assuming that your daughter must have dropped it as she was walking. For all we know, she could have gotten lost inside that old building." The woman reopened her eyes as her distress arose. An abandoned studio? Why on earth would (y/n) have gone in there?

Wait a minute...didn't (y/n) work in one of those industries for a period of time? She vaguely remembered her husband telling her about a new job their daughter had gotten accepted for, but that was years ago. Was this the same studio?

Taking a deep breath, she stood up, thanking the two officers for the information. With a few final well wishes and farewells, they left, and the house was silent.

So many questions were running through the mother's mind. What on earth was going on in that studio, and was (y/n) still alive? For now, she would never know, but was almost certain it wouldn't stay that way.
