What was once a river, was now a dark, inky tunnel that you somehow ended up standing in. There was no indication of how you ended up from being enveloped in the hands of the searchers, to being thrown in a river, and ending up here. It wasn't making any sense.

There was a bright light ahead of you, and you began to wade towards it in the thick ink. The sound of whispering filled your ears, just as it had sounded when you stood beside the river moments ago.

Suddenly, you heard someone that wasn't whispering...

"(Y/N)!!!"

It sounded like...Bendy... His booming voice echoed throughout the short tunnel, bringing your attention to its fullest as you neared the bright light. He sounded petrified and desperate. What was happening?

You were sure that the voice was him, but if it really was Bendy, then why couldn't you see him?

You tried to call out to him, to at least get his attention and ensure him that you were there, but nothing came out of your mouth. It was pointless trying to speak, and your only option was to walk into the light.

Approaching the white abyss, you extended your arm out and brushed your hand through the light, afraid of what would happen if you walked through. You weren't given any other choice...You had nothing else at your disposal. There wasn't anything welcoming about the darkness behind you, and you needed to figure out what was going on, so you squeezed your eyes shut and walked into the light. It was blinding at first, but it quickly faded, and you opened your eyes.

Your gaze was immediately met with a worrying demon looming over you, and you jerked your head back into what felt like a cushion. You were laying down on some sort of couch, and Bendy was an inch from you, his face carrying a concerned frown.

"(y/n)! I thought you were never gonna wake up!!" The demon cried, pulling you to his chest with a wavering sigh. You sat in his arms, completely confused with what was happening.

"What are you talking about? What happened?"

The ink demon immediately released you and got up as he cleared his throat. You slowly sat up and looked around, but your surroundings didn't help you to understand anything whatsoever. You were indeed sitting on a couch, but this place looked a lot like the lounge. There were a few chairs around you, and the only major difference between this room, and the lounge, was the large balcony that hung above a door a few feet away from the two of you.

"You had apparently passed out while I was carrying you through that hallway earlier. At first I thought nothing of it, but when I went to wake you up, you didn't respond." Bendy told you, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I wasn't really sure what was going on with you...You didn't look like you were having a very pleasant dream."

That's when it clicked inside your mind. Everything that had just happened...The hands reaching through the walls, and the river...All of it had been a nightmare.

But you were awake just moments before he had entered that hallway, so how had you managed to fall asleep that fast? All of the sudden, that was the part that wasn't making any sense to you.

"I...I had the strangest dream." You said suddenly, taking Bendy by surprise. You looked up at the demon, furrowing your eyebrows as you recalled the entire thing. It gave you chills, just thinking about what had happened. Who knew that something so strange and confusing could have been created in your mind, like it was playing tricks on you.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Bendy asked sympathetically, tilting his head with curiosity. The demon was intrigued with what your dream might have been about, but he wasn't going to try and force it out of you. Some part of him prayed that your dream hadn't been about him, but how unknowing he was.

You shook your head, a frown coming to your face. "No, I don't really want to talk about it Bendy."

The toon nodded, offering a hand to you. "Think you're ready to carry on then? I don't wanna rush ya if you need more time." You took his hand and stood up, a small smile beginning to replace your frown as you met with his worried gaze.

"You don't need to worry so much, I'm fine."

"Are you sure? Your state about ten minutes ago told me otherwise."

"Bendy, please. It was just a dream, I'll get over it." You reassured him, lifting his hand that was intertwined with yours and lightly pressing a kiss to his knuckles. His grip on your hand slightly tightened after receiving your affectionate gesture, and your smile widened with a bit of blush on your cheeks.

Seeing you awake and well made him feel a little better with every passing second. He wasn't even completely sure if you were alive minutes ago. Your body didn't react at all to what he did to try and wake you up, and it had scared him greatly. How had you been in a sleep that deep? He couldn't seem to understand it, and he didn't think that he ever would.

By the look of the demon's expression, he didn't seem entirely convinced, but he was too stubborn to try and argue with sometimes.

You wanted to convince him that you were fine, but your mind couldn't help but think back to the kind of person Bendy had portrayed in your dream. It plagued you to the point where you could hardly think of anything else, and that was only going to make it harder to pull off an easygoing look.

"Lead the way!" You said energetically, gesturing towards the door below the balcony with your free hand.

Bendy sighed with the same, concerned frown on his face. There wasn't any use in trying to get you to say anything more about the matter. You seemed to be set on dismissing the topic, and ensuring him that you were doing so.

"Alright...alright..." He agreed, accepting your response and approaching the door with you.

He just needed to let it go...It was only a dream anyways...A completely harmless little nightmare...
