"My Lord?" Sammy peaked around the corner of another hallway and was disappointed to find nobody there. He had been searching for a while now, but his savior was nowhere to be found.
"Where is he? I'd assumed he'd be with (Y/n) up here." The prophet mumbled to himself, walking down the hallway and quickly glancing down the adjacent hallways connecting to the one he was in. It was a very daunting task; trying to find the ink demon. Sammy almost always sought to feed the demon with any and all information he received from the lower levels. It was a part of being devoted, and a simple way to show his lord how much he cared about his supremacy.
What he wished to speak with the toon about was an issue concerning Alice, and her knowledge of (Y/n)'s presence in the studio. Bendy was unaware that she had gotten word about it from one of her own "followers".
The man felt his own disapproval as he called out for his lord once more. He had learned very quickly how bad of an idea it was to call out for the ink demon. It would only bring unwanted attention to himself, and the toon still hated his guts, despite having kept (Y/n) alive for whatever reason.
Sammy clutched his axe tightly in his hand, adjusting his mask before continuing onward and finding himself on the highest level of the studio, where all of the ink demon's victims had entered long ago.
He passed through the dripping, dirty hallway, sparing no glance at his surroundings. There wasn't any sign of the demon's presence up here, but he wasn't surprised. He wasn't even sure why he had come up here, as it was highly uncommon for Bendy to even appear up here.
"What was I thinking, coming here?" Sammy spoke aloud, looking over at an old projector sitting across the room. It was turned off, but he could have sworn that it was on the last time he came up here.
A few feet ahead of where he stood, and off to the left, was the exit door. From where he stood, anyone that entered would not have been able to see him, which wouldn't have mattered most of the time.
The prophet perked himself upright as he heard a loud "bang!" echo through the building, and it sounded extremely close.
He jerked slightly from the noise, and poked his head out at the exit door from behind the wall. Another "bang!" followed soon after, and the door shook from the force of whatever was ramming into it from the outside.
The banging paused, and Sammy could hear two voices from outside.
"Fuck! Why won't this damn door open!?"
"Calm down man, you didn't even try the doorknob."
What were these people doing? They didn't have any business here, and Sammy couldn't recognize the voices as former workers at the studio. It may have been a group of some dumb teenagers, trying to impress a girl, or fulfill a dare of some sort. People were so unintelligent in that way.
The doorknob rattled as the man outside attempted to open it, and to nobody's surprise, it was locked. The prophet was unsure how the door always ended up being unlocked for the employees here, but he supposed that it was merely one of the many mysteries of the old building. The rattling stopped after a moment, and silence followed for the next couple minutes.
After assuming that the people outside gave up on the door, Sammy pulled his head back behind the wall.
"CRASH!"
The exit door was practically torn off its hinges as it burst open and slammed into the wall.
"Oh, Finally! Fuck!" The man said, exasperated.
The figure walked inside, but stayed in that hallway to wait for his companion.
"You are acting so unprofessional right now." The second individual huffed under his breath, following the first guy inside. The both of them were dressed in black uniforms, a firearm holstered on a belt at their waists. The two of them were cops.
The first, and very agitated cop, had on a nametag that read, "Williams, S."
The second, and more neutral cop, wore a nametag that read, "Connor, J."
Sammy was startled with the sudden turn of events. He needed to inform his lord about this, and he needed to do it now. He slowly backed up the way he came, making sure to make no sound and keep the officers oblivious to his presence.
"Geez...If I was a teenage girl, I would never set foot in a place like this." The first guy said suddenly, glancing around him while the second man also observed his surroundings.
"Well the sooner we find her, the sooner we can leave." The second individual responded, walking ahead of the first and into the room at the end of the hall. He hadn't noticed Sammy backing away down the other hallway, which eventually led down to the ink machine.
Teenage girl? Are these people looking for (Y/n)?
Sammy turned around and left once he was out of sight, now more determined than ever to find the ink demon and warn him of the newcomers. They weren't expected, to say the least. Bendy was plenty capable of handling these two, but the more he knew, the better.
He didn't know much about Bendy's relationship with that girl, but seeing him so happy the day he met her for himself made him realize that she may have been the only thing the demon needed to finally be at peace.
He never dared to share his opinion with him aloud, it would have most likely irritated Bendy.
"I hope I can manage to find him before they do. If it's (Y/n) they're after, they won't get her without a fight."
Hearing himself say such things made him smile. It was weird to finally have an objective that wasn't kidnapping employees. The prophet hoped that it was a good sign. Maybe his lord would appreciate it more than the kidnappings too.
Don't get your hopes up. That demon is colder than anything humanity has experienced, at least, he is to me anyway.
That girl...She's a lucky one. That broken toon seemed to have seen something in her...Some tiny trace of hope lying in a world of darkness. This was the first time in 30 years that the prophet had ever seen someone stand with the demon and still carry their life.
That had to mean something...to Bendy...and to (Y/n)...
