Bounty Hunter

I jolted awake holding my head “Jedi masters of the past, if you’re here I need help” I called into the empty room “the nightmares are back?” I heard a voice say as I nodded “it’s not a nightmare, it’s worse I’m reminded of the only person I had and his quick I lost him the worse part is I can’t find him” I stressed seeing Anakins ghost appear in front of me.

“you need to try to find him, use the force” he said as I stood up frustrated “I’ve tried and I see the same images, a grassy place, a lightsaber and Grogu” I explained “than I suggest you keep him safe” Anakin said disappearing I got up checking on the egg shaped crib “good to know your sleeping good” I closed the top back getting dressed.

I heard a baby coo and I walked out “good morning sunshine” I called in a sing-song voice as I picked the baby up giving him some food “it’s ok mommy’s here" I cooed until one of the guards came through the door “miss there are bounty hunters here” he said as I punched the bridge of my nose “then go kill them and bring me their heads, my collection needs to grow” I huffed setting the baby in his egg.

I grabbed my lightsaber and hid behind some crates.

It wasn’t long before the door came falling down and I heard heavy metal steps “now or never Meria” I mumbled to my self “they want it to be terminated” I heard a droid say as a shot went off and I jumped up spinning the egg around seeing Grogu was safe but obviously shaken up, I huffed looking up to see a gun in my face

“how many of you are there?” the Mandalorian asked as I looked outside as far as I could see “I’m apparently the last. Wait! Before you shoot me I don’t want to kill you I just want to protect the kid” I reached back towards my lightsaber slipping it into my hand

“put your hands behind your back and I may show mercy” he said, his voice was low and rough but at the same time almost smooth like velvet.

My hands went behind my back and he took my lightsaber before I could turn it on “I saw that happen” he mumbled clipping it to his belt as he put cuffs on me “there a little tight” I huffed as he tightened them even more

“I can’t have you escape on me, can I?” he questioned, whispering in my ear “well it wouldn’t be the worst thing ever” I whispered back turning my head so I could see his helmet better, I could hear the metal clink and my helmet hit his shoulder

“who would take care of that thing on the trip there?” he whispered as I pushed off his chestplate “I can’t do it if I’m in cuffs” I raised my brows even though he couldn’t see it.

He went to remove the cuffs to see they were already off and I clicked one around his wrist as we fought each other until I felt a familiar tightness around my wrist “that was stupid” I quirked as he went to punch my in the gut hitting my armor “so was that” I grabbed the egg pulling it to my side as Grogu smiled as me

“I promise to keep you safe” I hummed kissing his soft head.
