So what happened to this thing anyway?” the lady asked as I sat sadly “we got pretty beat up by someone who wanted the kid” I shrugged watching the kid play with the droids.

“hey cheer up, he’ll be back for you soon what’s your guy’s deal anyway?” she asked and I laid on my back “oh you know, we’ve met before he doesn’t remember we’re slowly becoming friends again” I laughed and she smiled helping me up “you’ve met him before?” I looked down nodding “He’s the first Mando I knew after I became a Mandalorian, and it’s kind of upsetting he doesn’t remember me but oh well” I shrugged and she nodded.

After hours of talking to each other it was dark out and the kid was in the ship probably sleeping and I was waiting on Din to get back.

“don’t stay awake all night, go to sleep I have a couch you can rest on if you need to” I shook me head “thanks for the offer but I can stay awake, I hunt bounties remember Peli?” she nodded patting my shoulder.

Another day past and I hadn’t slept a wink but nonetheless I was going to stay awake until Din returned, until I could sleep peacefully.

I heard the door open and I jumped up “Mando?” I yelled only to see a guy “you must be the other escapee” he grabbed me and held his blaster to my neck “where’s the kid?” he asked and I shook my head “I don’t know I promise” my heart was pumping and he tried my helmet “take it off” he pressed the gun further into my neck and I flinched.

I slid the helmet off my head grabbing my knife and my side and swinging it at him, cutting pretty deep.

“you little bitch!” Peli ran out at the house and he held his gun up to her “don’t try anything, come over here and sit where I can see you” he warned and Peli sat beside me “I told you to sleep and this wouldn’t be happening” she whispered not even noticing the lack of helmet.

We were waiting for Din and I was complete defenseless with nothing to protect me and nothing to kill him with when we heard the droids jumping around, he quickly stood me up holding a blaster to my head “shut up if you want to live” he warned and he walked forward “took you long enough Mando!” he yelled as I looked down and we stepped into the light.

“Looks like I’m calling the shots now huh partner” he questioned holding my face up and my eyes immediately darted to my helmet and them to Din who gripped his gun harder “drop your blaster and raise ‘em” he made sure the blaster was presses against my head harshly with his words and I watched Din lower the gun.

He pushed Peli forward ordering her to cuff him “you two are guild traitors, and I’m willing to bet that this little guy here is the target you helped escape, bringing you in won’t just make me a member of the guild, it’ll make me a legendary” he said and Din set off a light charge and he threw me and the kid out of shock shooting towards Din.

When he was blindly shooting I grabbed my lightsaber off of him stabbing him just as Din shot him.

I grabbed Grogu  holding him softly as Peli and Din walked over looking for the kid “where is it?” she asked “this little guy?” I asked handing him to her as she hugged me “you are a great mother” I laughed lightly.

“Meria” Din huffed and I hugged him “I’m so sorry I let this happen!” I cried into his shoulder and he rubbed my back pulling away Peli walked away letting up have our moment.

“this isn’t your fault ok, none of you got hurt” he brushed my slightly overgrown hair behind my ear “if I had just slept instead of being to scared of what my mind would show me, and if I just trusted that you would be fine I would’ve been able to kill him myself” I huffed and Din chuckled “your telling me the only time you sleep is when I’m with you?” he questioned and I looked down very aware he could see me blush “maybe, but it’s only because I get scared” I argued and he pulled my closer to him “that is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard come out of your mouth, that’s not a lot saying it's mostly swearing” he rested his metal forehead on my bare one and I melted into the gesture basically.

“hey totally not love birds, you should get a move on!” Pelion yelled and I huffed pulling her to the side “do not make me have to make you forget my face” I huffed and she laughed “I’ll clear the cameras, also you two are totally bonding again” I rolled my eyes grabbing my helmet and walking onto the ship to wait on Din “I’ll see you soon Peli!” I yelled as Din joined me “let’s get moving” he whispered and I nodded shutting the door and joining him in the cockpit.

“why haven’t you put the helmet back on?” Din asked and I huffed “I broke the code, I betrayed the creed” I wiped the years starting to fall again as Din turned around looking at me

“I won’t tell anyone I’ve seen you face and the kid can’t even speak” he calmed me softly holding my hands and picking up my helmet.

“I know a place we can hide out” I spoke up and Din turned around “where?” I shook my head “you can’t know, you wouldn’t agree to it. It's possible I would have to show my face to her but it will be safe until we figure something out” I explained and he reluctantly swapped places with me.

“Din you have to completely leave” I turned placing my hand on his knee “fine” he stood up taking the kid with him and I heard him Clank against the floor.

I typed in the number and waited for her to pick up “Leia, I need to bunk with you for a bit?” It came out as a question and she laughed “what trouble have you gotten in now?” she asked and I nervously laughed “I’ll explain if you let me bunk” she pretended to think about it before nodding “you remember the address I told you about for a house?” I nodded and she smiled

“see you soon, old friend” I smiled and typed in the cords.

I really think I should just reval her family soon if you can probably guess who it is so like let me know if you can and it may or may not get revealed next chapter
