Bounty Hunter

I went back to the hut after my little dispute with Din and I plopped down on the bed.

“Meria, sweetheart” the nickname almost made me break but I stayed strong “I didn’t mean to make you mad” he sat beside me pulling me onto his lap

“Din what are you doing?” I questioned as he ran his hand along the underside of my thigh

“I want to make it up to you” he whispered

“you don’t have to make anything up to me I was being stupid” I explained.

“but I pushed you and I shouldn’t have, but if that was your way of saying you didn’t want me to fuck you then ok” he sat back removing his arms from me and I hesitantly got off of him.

I stayed up all night or so I thought until I was being shook awake.

“Meria it’s time to find the base” Din whispered and when I opened my eyes it was dark out “Din why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” I asked and he carefully grabbed my hand “you needed the sleep” he whispered and I rolled my eyes getting up but I kept his hand in mine.

I put my weapons in their holsters and attached my lightsaber “lead the way” I extended my hand allowing him to walk in front of me and he led me to the edge of the woods.

After walking for an hour or so we reached what we assumed to be the base we searched around until at least 5 things walked in and we attacked three the other two went to run and I stabbed them, when the others came in we rigged thermal explosives and fought our way out, when it exploded Din grabbed my waist pulling me  under him.

“I think that worked” I mumbled as din got up grabbing my and Cara and we all ran back to the village and behind our defenses.

We watched as the AT-AT stepped closer to the edge of the water before stopping and everyone started fighting and shooting as I stayed with the shooters thinking of a way to get it into the water.

I took my rifle off my back moving forward towards the water and shooting the machine getting its attention as I took a breath shooting it again, hitting it right in the eye and I took a breath going under the water.

The second I heard it fall I went back above water only to be swept back under by the wave.

A hand grabbed mine pulling me up and I coughed “that was really stupid!” Din yelled as I pushed his helmet away from mine

“give me a second to catch my breath before you yell at me!” I yelled back “no because then you interrupt me, I get that it worked but you have to communicate with me, I mean-” he was cut off by the hiss of my helmet as I struggled to get air

“Meria?” he asked and I turned looking at him, only my eyes were visible “what? Did you finish your stupid rant yet?” I rolled my eyes as I took the cloth covering my face off turning away from everyone and I rang it out and  I put my hair back up while I was at it.

Once I got the helmet back on I turned back to Din who was still shocked that I removed my helmet so easily “Din, get up” I huffed pulling him up and pushing him in the water “Meria, what the hell!” he yelled as I lost it “now we’re both wet” I shrugged as he grabbed my hand getting out “that was rude” he huffed and I laughed again.

Two days later

The people of the village wanted to have a festival to celebrate their freedom of the attacks or whatever and the kid was so happy he left with Cara first thing in the morning.

“so you cover your face under the helmet?” Din asked as I looked back at him “yes just in case someone gets by the fingerprint scanner” I huffed as I finished the wing on my eye turning to face him

“too much?” I asked as he crossed his hands in front of him “just enough, but I’m bringing the helmet with me” he grabbed my helmet and I rolled my eyes making sure the cover was tied tightly around the back of my neck as my hair was in an awkward half up pony tail thing, it was far to short to get all of it up.

I grabbed his free hand pulling him out of the hut and towards the town square where the music was playing “who put you in a dress?” Cars asked and I smiled my eyes showing it perfectly and I looked at the long sleeved dress that went down to my ankles as my boots covered the rest  of my leg and foot as the music started playing and I looked to din raising my eyebrows

“care to join me?” I asked him and he shook his head and I took to the dance floor spinning around as he watched me from afar  everyone started clapping as I remember a dance I had to learn for one of the town parties I went to as a child.

It required a lot of footwork and I looked like I was doing an Irish jig but I was having so much fun as the music sped up so I dragged Din to dance with me.

He was spinning me around and I felt like a princess as everyone watched us.

We finished the dance as he dipped me down and I laughed, “I thought you didn’t dance?” I smiled and he laughed just loud enough for me to hear “you did most the work I just spun you around” he made some hand movements and a kid handed me a bouquet of flowers he must have just made out of paper.

“I couldn’t find enough real flowers but I princess like you deserves flowers” his smile was sweet as I took the flowers feelings something get placed on my head.

I touched the top of my head and it was a flower crown “don’t say it.” Dins voice was stern as I smiled hugging him tightly

“is he your prince?” one of the kids asked as another chipped in “then she would be a queen and he would be her king, are you a queen?” She turned her attention to my asking as I laughed

“I’m not a queen my mother was though, and she had a Jedi Knight in shining armor” I explained (I wonder?) as the girls eyes went wide “so you are a princess!” she yelled jumping up and down

“I was a princess, before I was forced by some bad circumstances to become a Mandalorian, I know that my sister became a princess through adoption and I have no clue where my brother is now, that’s why I suggest you always stay with your family” I smiled,   not noticing Din slipping away to talk to Cara.

The little girl nodded and I smiled “are you a Jedi?” the boy asked and I huffed “somewhat yes” I answered as he smiled “I want to be a Jedi it would be so cool” he said.

I felt a hand softly brush my hair back and I leaned back and Din spoke in a whisper just so I could hear his voice “we need to go, there are tracking fobs out for the kid” he spoke and I looked back seeing Cara was walking the kids away as Din helped me up.

Once back to the hut I was visibly upset “baby look I don’t want to leave here either” he whispered and I turned around, I ran my hands down his unplated sides

“baby?” I questioned as he looked at me “I thought it was more fitting than pretty girl” he answered and I got flustered “god Din you can’t keep doing this!” I huffed “I love hearing you recite everything you would do for me but I don’t feel like doing anything except for getting ready to leave” he had a pleading tone and I looked at him

“I would break every code for you, the first one being that I would show you every inch of my face, the second one being I would show you every inch of my body” the last one took him by surprise

“every?” he repeated back

as I smiled “every last inch” I whispered as he turned back to me “your in trouble” he said and I smiled “good” I teased and I put my clothes on as he turned around allowing me to get my armor on.
