Conrad walked in before I did. I wanted to wait for Belly, Taylor, and Cam because the last thing I wanted was to be seen with Conrad. It took them 5 minutes to show up after we did, god knows why. we all walked into the house with Teenagers drinking and making out everywhere

"Belly, you came!" Nicole says while walking closer to us "Hey, Nicole. you look so pretty," Belly says and I can see Taylor rolling her eyes "Oh, me? Look at you. Oh, my goodness, are those real flowers?" Nicole asks while releasing Belly from the hug "yes," Belly says

"Hey, Tate." Nicole says with a half-smile "Hey." I say "Oh, Tate is gonna be a deb with me!" Belly says while smiling "Oh? that's great." Nicole says "I'm sure you want to meet everyone, they're over here," Nicole says while grabbing Belly and I's hands to drag us away

"You want to come?" Belly asked Cam "You have fun over there," He said "I'm gonna go find a drink," Taylor says while walking away

"you guys, look who's here," Nicole says as we reach Gigi and the rest of the girls "Birthday girl," Gigi says and a few of the other girls said Happy birthday "Also Tate is gonna be deb," Nicole says while lighting the candle on top of the cake

"Oh, that's great," Gigi says while smiling "Do you have an escort yet?" Gigi asks "no, I just found out that Susannah signed me up," I say smiling "Do you have anyone in mind?" Nicole asks "Yeah, I'm gonna ask Dylan," I say smiling

"That's great," Nicole says "Is this for me?" Belly asks while looking at all the treats on the table "Who else would it be for, Belly?" Nicole says "Oh, my... Thank you, guys," Belly says while smiling

"These cakes are amazing, Nicole," I say looking at them "I never miss a chance to have a Sofia Coppola moment," She says while smiling "Okay, well, Belly, make a wish," Nicole says causing Belly to lean closer to the candle and close her eyes, she stayed in that position for a few seconds and then blew out the candle

"Hey," I hear a voice say coming up behind me and putting their arms around my waist "Hey," I say turning my head to see Dylan "When did you get here?" I ask "Just a few minutes ago," He says

"Oh, Belly, where's Jeremiah?" Gigi asks "Um, I think he's over by the drinks table," Belly says looking over there "Who's thirsty?" Gigi asks while shaking her cup

"You. Clearly," Marisa says causing everyone to laugh "So, Nicole, you and Conrad a thing or what?" Dara asks and Nicole's whole mood shifted "I think ' or what'" She says

"Wait, you live with him. you should know what he's up to. Has he been hanging out with other girls this summer?" Marisa asks Belly and she turns and looks back at me before saying "No, he-he's always off by himself," Belly said, "Okay, well, new topic." Nicole said while looking at me

"Have you asked Cam to the ball yet?" Nicole asks Belly while Dylan still had his arms around him and was leaning his head on my shoulder "No, I was gonna, uh, do it before dinner today, but, um, everyone was there." Belly said

"Do it right now. just-just ask him," Nicole said "What you're gonna do is you're gonna take him to an empty bedroom and ask him there," Gigi said "no, do not do that. He'll get too excited," Dara said while looking at Belly

"That's the point, he'll say yes," Gigi said "Gigi," Nicole said in a stern voice "That was my plan," Gigi said clueless "I know," Nicole said in a low voice

My eyes trail behind Gigi and meet Conrad's gaze which was already on me. We made eye contact while the voices from the other girls around me faded away and all I could see was him and I couldn't hear anything. It felt as if the whole world stopped and it was just us, we were the only two people in the room. He took a sip out of the beer still holding eye contact. boy did he look good.

"Hey, you okay?" Dylan asks causing me to look away from Conrad "Yea," I say looking back to see that he's no longer there "You wanna go get a drink?" He asks and I nod my head "I'm gonna go grab a drink," I say to Belly before walking away

We walk over toward the drinks and Dylan pours one for himself and me, we decided to go sit down on the couch cause no one else was there and Belly and Cam soon joined us. "I remember that," I say laughing at a story Belly was telling from the last summer I was here

"Testing, testing, one, two, three." I hear Jeremiah say into the microphone connected to the karaoke machine "Checking out, checking out. All right. this one goes out to Cam Cameron, Belly Button, Potato, and Dyl pickle," Summer Nights started playing "Oh, Jesus," Cam said while we all laughed

"Summer lovin' had me a blast," Jeremiah sang and tried to hand Belly the other microphone "No, please no." She said moving back and I grabbed the microphone and stood up

"I met a girl crazy for me," Jeremiah sang as I came up to him and we leaned against each other back to back "I met a boy as cute as can be," I sang while Nicole, Gigi, and Dara all stood next to me dancing

"Summer days drifting away. To ah-oh, the summer nights," We sang together "Oh well-a, oh well-a, oh well-a," we sang as our voices went deeper trying to contain our laughter while Cam, Belly, and Dylan just stared at us while laughing "Tell me more, Tell me more, Did you get very far," Jeremiah and the girl sang

"Tell me more, Tell me more, like does he have a car," The girls and I sang while I was now leaning my back on Nicole. we all started singing the Doo-do parts while more people came into the living room. "She swam by me, she got a cramp," Jeremiah sang while leaning down

"He ran by me, got my suit damp," I say while laying the back of my hand over my forehead and leaning more into Nicole " I saved her life, she nearly drowned," Jeremiah sang "He showed off, splashing around," I sang as I noticed Conrad step into the room

I remember when we would watch grease together, he absolutely hated it but we learned the dance to grease lighting and we had so much fun and we even showed Susannah who took a horrible video of us and posted it on her Facebook "Summer sun, something's begun. but ah-oh, those summer nights," We sang together "Oh well-a, oh well-a, oh well-a"

"Tell me more, tell me more, was it love at first sight?" I sing while the girls so back up vocals and laughing "Tell me more, tell me more, did she put up a fight," Jeremiah said while walking as close as he could to Conrad to annoy him and I can tell it worked because Conrad pushed him away and walked away rolling his eyes. I walked over to Cam and handed him the mic while I told him I had to go to the bathroom

"Are you okay?" I asked Conrad as I caught up to him "Perfect," He says still walking away "What's your problem?" I say while grabbing his shoulder to turn him around

"Nothing, leave me alone and go back to your boyfriend," He says while walking away again and this time I didn't follow him, instead I did was he told me to and I went back to Dylan
