It had been a couple of hours since everyone had arrived, I hung out with Dylan on the deck and we just sat there and talked but Steven called him over to do something so I went inside where Belly and Jeremiah were so I wasn't alone. "That's dope," Jeremiah says to victoria

"How'd you learn to make these?" I ask Victoria as she pours the drink into cups "So I actually spent a summer in this desert town in Texas near the border called Marfa and, there was a bar there that served these, and I told the bartender that I would not leave until he showed me exactly how to make these." Victoria says while smiling

"Can I try a sip?" Belly asks from across the counter "Are your parents cool with that?" Victoria asks "Yeah, yeah, no, they don't care," Belly says while lying

"Oh, then sure. I'm gonna take this out to your dad. Do you mind taking those out to Susannah and your mom?" Victoria asks while picking up two glasses "Yeah, sure," Belly says "Thanks, love." Victoria says while leaving

Belly grabs one of the glasses that were in front of Jeremiah and brings it to her lips "Oh, well, how is it?" Jeremiah asks "Strong?"

"This is amazing," Belly says shocked and handing it to Jeremiah "Mmm. No wonder you like it, it tastes just like a Slurpee," He says handing it to me "This is really good," I say

"Yeah, exactly. But I have an idea," Belly says while standing up and walking toward the cabinet that was behind me, and Jeremiah mutters a quiet oh, no. "Sous-chef, I'm gonna need some more Pomegranate juice," Belly says while pointing at Jeremiah "You got it," He says

"What are you guys making?" Conrad asks while walking into the kitchen and taking a quick glance at me "Pomegranate margaritas, but with a twist," Belly says while shaking the kool-aid powder that she has

"Well, you got to use the good blender," Conrad says while looking at us "Oh, I-I haven't used that thing since the great Kool-Aid debacle of 2018," Jeremiah says

The last summer I was here Belly, Jeremiah, Taylor, and I decided we wanted Kool-Aid slushies but Belly forgot to put the top on the blender before starting it and it went everywhere, all over everything in the kitchen, Adam yelled at us for a good 2 hours. He actually terrified me and I told Conrad that and he then replied saying he hated his dad which I knew he didn't mean

"I remember, the counters are still sticky," Conrad says while plugging in the Blender next to me and laughing "Dad kept his, uh, briefcase in my room for a year, 'As a reminder that all mistakes are not reversible," Jeremiah says while lowering his voice

"Wait, won't he be mad if he finds out?" I ask while looking at Conrad before Belly pours in the powder "Well, he's not gonna find out he's not coming," Conrad says "Okay," I say smiling and nodding my head at Belly and she pours the powder in

Jeremiah hands her the Pomegranate and she pours it in as I grab the tequila for it, "Oh, she's going for the good stuff," Jeremiah says while laughing. I put the top of the bottle on the edge of the blender and started to pour a little bit of it as Conrad put his hand on mine and pushed it so more would go it "We don't need another debacle," Jeremiah says causing me to laugh

"Stop, Stop, Stop," I say while laughing and trying to move my hand away so the liquid would stop pouring in "Nope," Conrad said while laughing

"Man, you know what I miss?" Conrad asked after we finished blending the drink "Huh?" Jeremiah asks "Watching Laurel put dad in his place, you know, she'd walk in, she'd be like "Adam!" Conrad says imitating Laurel

"Adam, you came!" We hear Laurel say causing us to turn our heads and seeing Adam walking in "Happy fourth!" Adam says while standing next to me "dad! you came," Jeremiah says while getting up and hugging him

"Hey guys Hey, Connie," Adam says while looking around at everyone "I'll have a little of what you're making up there," Adam says and I hand him a glass while smiling "Hey, Thank you, Tate." He says while smiling and I look over at Conrad

"Oh, you're gonna love the firework show this year. It's gonna be the best one yet," Jeremiah says with a big smile on his face "I believe it,"

"Where'd everyone go?" I hear Susannah say as she walked in "Hey," Adam says and Susannah's face dropped "Adam. You managed to get off work," Susannah says

"Yeah, couldn't miss the fourth with my family," Adam says while smiling "All right, well let's get back to the party," Susannah says and we all stand up and walk out of the house

"There you are," Dylan says while walking over to me "Yeah, sorry we were making some drinks," I say smiling as he grabs my hand
