We all hurriedly got into our potions before the song that we were dancing to started, once it did it felt like my brain forgot what it was doing but my body knew exactly what to do. I locked eyes with Conrad as we danced in each other's arms, not taking a glance anywhere else but at him.

It felt as if we were the only two people in the world, just dancing and taking in each other. I never imagined myself in the potion to be like this with the man I've fought so hard to get out of my head. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. I missed being able to look at him like this without feeling guilty.

It was now nearing the end of the dance and we still hadn't taken our eyes off each other. once the dance finally ended it felt as if all the air in the room had been sucked away and it was slowly suffocating me. "Thank you," I managed to choke out while he holds onto my arms and stared at me

"I think I messed up some of the parts," He says finally breaking eye contact but only for a second "You were great," I said fully memorized by him "I'm glad..." He starts to say "Glad that it was me," he finishes

"I am too," I say slightly smiling "Hey, can we talk?" Jeremiah says while grabbing Conrad's shoulder "can we talk later," He says while turning to look at him

"It's important. It's about mom. I found something out," Jeremiah says with his eyes full of hurt "We'll talk about this later," Conrad says "No, it's important," Jeremiah says while raising his voice a little

"it's okay," Conrad says in a way that suggests he already knows what Jeremiah is talking about "You already know, don't you?" Jeremiah says not practically yelling which causes some heads to turn and Belly to walk toward us

"You've know this whole fucking time and didn't tell me?" He says completely pissed off now "you're a piece of shit," He yelled and gasps erupt for those around us "Hey! what is going on?" Susannah says in a stern voice

"Mom..." Jeremiah says while turning to face her "We know Mom..." Conrad says "We both know," Susannah's face dropped and it looked as if Laurel's soul had been broken "Know what?" Belly asks confusedly

"Uh," Laurel starts to say but looks at Susannah for approval "Susannah's cancer is back," Laurel said and my heart dropped. Belly started crying right there, I just walked toward her and held her while she cried. I didn't want to show to much feeling because I don't know Susannah like they do. I don't want it to seem like I want attention or anything. This is a family matter and I for one am not apart of that family.

we all managed to leave the Country Club in one piece but many tears still shred. When we got home Belly ran straight to her room and Laurel not to far behind her. Susannah and they boys went into the living room, I decided to give them privacy so I walked to my room and shut the door.

They all need to process this together. I don't want to interfere with that. We had now been home for 30 minutes and I heard a knock on my door so I quickly wiped my tears and opened it to a sad Conrad. I just pulled him into my room and closed the door. I hugged him like my life depended on it and he just started crying harder

"I'm so sorry Conrad," I say while running my finger through his hair "I didn't want anyone to find out like this, I wanted my mom to just tell them all herself," He says breaking down even further

"Come sit," I say while leading us to my bed and he lays his head in my lap. We don't speak, he just cries while I run my hand through his hair. I wish I could take this hurt away, I wish I could give him back his smile.

"Everybody get down here, we still have to eat!," I hear Laurel yell from downstairs, Conrad stands up and wipes his face and then grabs my hand to pull me up "After we eat can we go down to the beach and watch the sun rise?" He asks while looking at me

"of course," I say giving him a smile which he returns. We walk out of my room and downstairs to be met with everyone already at the table. Conrad and I sit next to each other while Laurel hands out plates to us all

"We got pizza, spaghetti and ice cream, take your pick," She says which causes Susannah to laugh. Conrad and I both take a piece of pizza and I get us water to drink. He needs some in his body not sure how he's surviving without it. He tries to feed me the pizza but he just ends up getting sauce all over my face.

He grabs a napkin while laughing and wiping the sauce off. "You guys did amazing tonight," Susannah says while looking back and forth between Belly and I "It's like I got to see you on your wedding days," She says which breaks everyone's heart

"You'll be able to see them on their actual wedding days," Laurel says trying not to cry "Conrad, Tate, I want to paint you both together before we leave. I want to paint you in your deb outfits," Susannah says while smiling

"Oh, yes," I say giving her a warm smile "Not oh yes, we will be sitting there forever," Conrad says while jokingly rolling his eyes "Oh, shut it," I say pushing his shoulder

"You guys are cute," Steven says and everyone agrees "Nah I'm just the cute one," I say while flipping my hair
