Chapter 14

Centuries later:

"Xiaotian, Xiaotian, Qi Xiaotian where are you?" Macaque wearing a red and white hanfu with a black dress said looking around the courtyard for his five year old son, his ears twitched when he heard his son giggling, he turns to where the giggling was coming from and saw two glowing eyes under the stairs before they disappeared and Macaque smiled an idea forming in his mind "oh well, I guess I'll just have to tell Red Boy that Xiaotian isn't coming and I'll just have to go to the festival all by myself" he said loudly walking towards the gate door he hears a gasp and a small shadow zoomed in front of him and turned into Qi Xiaotian wearing a white hanfu shirt, red baggy pants with a wind design, and a blue jacket along with the yang necklace Red Boy gave him "I'm here mama, I'm here, don't go without me!" Qi Xiaotian said hugging Macaques leg "you know I would never leave without you bud" Macaque said gently petting Qi Xiaotians head 

"But now that you're here, we can go" Macaque said smiling "yes, yes, festival, festival!" Qi Xiaotian said jumping up and down his tail wagging "but before we go, disguises up!" The shadow monkey said disguising into a human, Qi Xiaotian concentrated and in a puff of smoke a little human boy appeared in front of him "now let's go" Macaque said opening the gate door and left with Qi Xiaotian holding his hand

It still amazed Macaque that how much had changed, the once small village, was now a giant city called Megapolis filled with lights, color, new and different kinds of food, technology, people and a few demons. Qi Xiaotian looked around in awe his eyes sparkling like stars as he looked at the colorful festival around him, he then spotted two very familiar people "Red Boy!!" Qi Xiaotian called out running to his best friend "Xiaotian!!" The six year old called out running to his friend, the two embraced into a hug like they haven't seen each other in years. Qi Xiaotian looks up and saw his aunt smiling "Āyí!" Qi Xiaotian said and ran up to Iron Fan jumping into her arms in a hug "oh my, look at how big you are growing, what has your mother been feeding you?" Iron Fan said playfully as she lifted him up in the air

"Alright, alright settle down" Macaque said walking up to his sister who placed Qi Xiaotian down "besides we have a whole festival in front of us, and the night is still young, let's go have fun!" Macaque said and the four entered the festival. Red Boy and Qi Xiaotian looked around the booths, wondering which one to go to, they then spotted a booth with balls, stacked bottles, and toys hanging on the walls and ceiling of the booth and immediately ran up to the booth "mama, we wanna play this one!" Qi Xiaotian and Red Boy said together "alright, how do you play it?" Macaque asked "well it's quite easy sir, just throw the ball at the metal jugs, knock all three down, and win a prize!" The man in the booth said 'Sounds easy to me' Macaque thought "okay, I'll go first" he said giving his ticket to the man, the man then gave him three baseballs and stepped out of the way "good luck!" The man said "don't need it" Macaque said and with three powerful toss he knocks all three of the jugs "that's amazing! Now, what kind of prize do you want?" The man asked

Qi Xiaotian looked around the toys but none of them spiked his interest, until one right in the middle of the wall did and his eyes sparkled "that one, I want that one!" Qi Xiaotian said jumping up and down and pointing at the toy, Macaque looked at to where his son was pointing to see it was a Monkey King toy plush "uumm, wouldn't you like a different toy plush instead?" Iron Fan asked hoping to change the little ones mind "No Way José, I want that one!" Qi Xiaotian said jumping up and down "an excellent choice young man!" The man said unhooking the plush down and gave it to the five year old who immediately hugged it tightly "next!" The man said

Soon the group were eating food as Qi Xiaotian hugged his Monkey King plush and Red Boy hugging his Demon Bull King plush "hey, after eating why don't we watch the parade, then after that we can watch the lanterns and finally the fireworks" Macaque said smiling while eating his teriyaki chicken on a stick and the two kids immediately nodded "but we don't have any lanterns" Iron Fan said and Macaque smirked "you mean...these lanterns" Macaque said pulling out two lanterns from behind him and Iron Fan smiled "impressive" she said. The rest of the festival went off without a hitch, Qi Xiaotian and Red Boy were amazed by all of the different colored floats, afterwards they watched as they released their lanterns as millions filled the sky like stars, and finally they watched an amazing firework show while eating mooncakes, but now the two were tired and it was time to go home
