Chapter 84

Meanwhile on the other side of the desert

Calamity MK flies through the desert making the golden sand fly past him in clouds of dust and sand with Mei and Sandy on his back as he flies at lightning speed, MK groan as his glow dulled and he drops down from the sky for a moment before grunting as his glow bright again and flies back into the air "uuhh MK, I think where far enough now" Sandy said holding on, MK didn't respond as he forced himself to go faster making cracks appear from his hands "seriously dude, you should stop, Kai's not following us" Mei said when she saw cracks appear on MK's cheeks "MK, MK snap out of it!" Mei said shaking her friends shoulders but Calamity MK wasn't listening as he flies faster. Blood then started to drip from the teens eyes, mouth and nose as more cracks appeared as a chip flies off "MK, wake up, MK!" Mei cried out in panic trying to snap MK out of it, then Sandy got an idea "sorry about this little man!" Sandy said and punches MK in the gut knocking the air out of the teen. They started to fall out of the sky and onto the desert sand tumbling down the sand dunes

"Uuugghh" Mei groans as she sits up shaking the sand out of her hair, she then turns to Sandy "you alright big guy?" Mei asked as the water spirit sat up rubbing his sore head "yeah, I'm good" Sandy said, Mei looked around for her other friend "MK, MK?" Mei called out standing up, she heard wheezing and went up the sand dunes and gasped at what she saw, MK was on the ground curled up holding his stomach his glowing hair flickering as well as his eyes blood staining the golden sand "MK!" Mei said quickly going over to her friend, Sandy quickly followed the dragon girl and hovered over the wheezing teen "I-I'm so sorry MK, I didn't mean to hurt you!" Sandy said looking down at his friend "nnnn...n-not.....y-y-your....f-f-f-fault" MK rasped out before passing out his hair turning back to normal "MK, MK!" Mei said in worry, MK groans in pain "w-what do we do?" Sandy asked, Mei looked at the water spirit, then down at her friend, and then to the moon setting as the sun rises "we keep heading west" Mei said, Sandy nodded and carefully picks MK up and follows the dragon girl west as the morning sun rises behind them

Hours passed and the two trekked across the flaming hot desert, Mei used her jacket to shield herself from the sun, Sandy sluggishly walking alongside her whilst carrying an unconscious MK as he does his best to shield the teen from the unforgiving sun "how's MK doing?" Mei asked, Sandy looked down at his friend who had big black bags under his eyes and dried up blood on his face, the teens skin was pale and was covered by sheets of sweat was covering the teens face making his hair stick to his forehead "he not looking too hot" Sandy said wiping the sweat off the teens head, Mei turns back around and continues walking. As she continues walking her vision begins to go blurry, she rubs her eyes to clear her vision but it doesn't work and soon the dragon girl collapsed onto the golden floor of the desert, with Sandy quickly following after making MK tumble out of the water spirits arms, the last thing she sees before passing out is MK having a seizure and she blacks out as the three were now at the mercy of the vultures circling them

When she woke up she saw that she was in something soft, she sat up in a red sheet bed, the walls of the room she was in were a deep shade of purple, lined with gold, torches lighting the area. Mei looked in front of her and saw MK laying in another bed in front of her, a cooling patch on his forehead, the female teen immediately jumped to his feet and went to rush to her friend, only for a wave of nausea to hit the poor dragon girl, making her fall to her knees as dizzy spells hit her "I see that your up" a voice said, Mei looks up and saw Red Son standing over her "Red Boy?" Mei said as the fire demon picked her up "don't get up, your still recovering" Red Son said placing the dragon girl back into the bed "and if you want to know, I found you and your friends all passed out in the middle of the desert, and brought you three to my home" Red Son said handing her a cup of water "thanks" Mei said and drinks the cool water feeling great in her mouth "you're welcome" Red Son said crossing his arms. As Mei finished the water she looks back at MK and Red Son followed her gaze "he has a high fever from the heat stroke he had, and was suffering from a seizure when I found you three" Red Son said walking up to his friend/cousin replacing the old cooling patch with a new one
