MK tried to hold in his laughter as Mei who scowls at the ground "it's not fun-*hic!*" Mei was cut off by a loud hiccup making the male teen snicker "I'm sorry, but it kinda is since you've never had hiccups and always gloat about it" MK said with a smile as the dragon girl hiccups again "how did this even happen?" Pigsy asked looking at the dragon girl "well she was chugging down her Bubble tea and apparently got the hiccups from it" MK said as Mei hiccups again "I've never had hiccups, EVER in my life, and now I get them!" Mei said letting out another hiccup "maybe try holding your breath for a minute, it always works when MK got the hiccups" Tang suggested, Mei took a deep breath and counted while everyone watched

But while everyone was watching the dragon girl a small spider mech slowly and quietly comes down by a web coming to a stop when it was on top of MK Bubble tea cup, the spider mech pulls out a syringe filled with green liquid and pierce through the lid injecting the liquid into the tea, when all the liquid was gone the spider mech pulls the syringe back and pulls back up to the ceiling and disappearing through the window, the Bubble tea turned green for a second before turning back to the light brown color

After a minute the dragon girl exhaled and smiled "yes, it worked, I'm hiccup free!" Mei said cheering until she hiccups "Nooooooo!" Mei said faltering not knowing that her shadow was stretched up to a wall and two purple eyes appeared along with a mouth "Boo!" The shadow said making the dragon girl jump high into the air with a shriek, the shadow laughed and Macaque steps out of it still laughing "that is not funny Mr. Macaque, you nearly scared the soul out of me!" Mei said clinging onto the wooden beam as she glares at the tanned simian "but you're not hiccuping anymore, are you?" Macaque said smiling, Mei paused for a moment realizing that her hiccups were gone "yes, I'm cur-woah!" Mei said accidentally letting go of the beam and falls to the floor "ow!" Mei groans and MK covered his mouth to hold back his laughter as he grabs his bubble drink and took a sip of his drink

But just as he took a few gulps from the drink his eyes widened and he let's out a grunt as his hand went to his neck when it suddenly felt tightened and started to hurt "kid?" Pigsy asked when the teen stand up he only took a few steps before collapsing to the ground gasping for air "MK/CUB!!!" Everyone shouted quickly going to the teen side "cub, cub what's wrong, answer me!" Macaque said gently placing the teens head on his lap, MK grunts and groans in pain while the scholar felt his forehead "he's burning up!" Tang said in shock at how sudden his son's tempature changed "how did this happen?!" Pigsy said in shock, Macaque looks around and spotted the spilled over bubble tea drink, he picks it up and smelled it before reeling back covering his nose "the drink reeks of poison" Macaque said staring at the cup "POISON?!" Everyone said in shock "b-b-but I ordered the same thing he had, so why wasn't I poisoned too?" Mei said looking at her drink that was half empty "maybe someone only wanted MK to be poisoned" Tang said staring at his son in worry

"So where do we find the antidote?" Pigsy said ready to scour the stores and markets for ingredients for an antidote, Macaque smells the poisoned drink trying to figure out what ingredients they were and what ingredients to use for the antidote "I....I don't know...the poison smells too foreign for me to know what kind of antidote to use without making it worse" Macaque said looking down at his cub who groans in pain "I may have a suggestion!" Sandy cheerfully spoke up "What if we used the Crimson Jimsonweed to make a tea, which would cure MK from the poison" Sandy said smiling "how on earth is tea going to help?!" The pig demon said to the water spirit "no, Sandy might be onto something" Macaque said looking at the water spirit "Crimson Jimsonweed...If I remember correctly, that is an ancient and powerful flower that blooms every Crimson Moon, says to cure the sick or injured" Tang said pushing his glasses up "but, doesn't that also grow in the Emerald Lake, and isn't the lake really dangerous?" Mei said remembering a passage about the flower in a history book she read in middle school
