Chapter 23

"Alright, let's get a move on, but I'm telling you now, old friend, if things get hairy, I've changed" Sandy said looking at Pigsy "I don't go around picking fights no more" Sandy said with a smile, Pigsy let out a sigh and crossed his arms "Mo! Initiate the launch sequence!" Sandy said, Mo meows and hopped off Sandy's shoulder "launch sequence?" Mei asked looking at MK in confusion, Mo got onto the console, lifted his paw, and pressed the button, soon alarms blared and everything began to rumble and shake, soon the engines blurred to life and rocket boosters appeared on the back and sides of the ship "Onwards, to Flower Fruit Mountain!" Sandy said at the steering wheel, soon the booster glowed with life and the ship was off "Oh, yeah!" MK said in excitement, little did they know that a Bull Clone has spotted them looking through the binoculars

Back in the city, Red Son stared from the top of the roof as the Bull clone walked up to him the clone kneeled down and spoke sounding like it was clearing its throat, Red Son snarled and gritted his teeth, clenching his fists tightly, he turns to the bull clone his hair bursting into flames "WHAT? You let them get away?!?" Red Son shouted in anger "oh so your plan didn't go "according to plan," hmm?" Princess Iron Fan said appearing from behind him, smirking "oh, don't worry my sweet, useless boy. Mother will get the staff" she said using her wind to bring Red Son close to her "I'm not about to let anyone stop us, not this time" she said letting Red Son go and a gust of wind surrounded her and soon she was gone leaving Red Son and the bull clone on the roof

Out in the ocean a small butterfly landed on the top of the cargo ship watching as Mei was leaning against the ship wall on her phone, Pigsy asleep on the couch, Tang on the far end of the couch, and MK wearing his orange jacket practice with the staff in his hands spinning around, kicking the air, and swinging the staff pretending that he was hitting a villain "Halt, evil monster, I must thwart thee! For I am... The Monkey King...ugh!" MK said as the staff extended nearly hitting Mei who had a smile on her face "Whoo! That was awesome!" Mei said standing up "Ahh! Sorry, Mei!" MK said he then lifted up and staff as it reattached back too fast hitting him and he fell on the floor, MK groans and his eyes widened as he saw Flower Fruit Mountain in sight "We're here! Flower Fruit Mountain!" MK said leaning over the edge of the ship 

But the boat started rock and water spout out right next to the boat, everyone screamed as the boat tilted a cargo fell off the boat and into the water "Huh?" MK said looking to where the blast was and saw mountains with lava pouring out surrounding Flower Fruit Mountain "Whoa!" MK said as he saw the mountains "Welcome to the flaming mountains, gang! A volcanic ring surrounds the mountain making it virtually impassable, this path is the only safe way through" Sandy said, he then stopped the boat at a path "That's as close as the boat can get, just.... be careful" Sandy said as Pigsy, Mei, and Mk got off the boat "I'm coming too, I wouldn't want you forgetting ME Pigsy" Tang said getting off the boat and walking up to the two teens "Tang" Pigsy said but Tang just crossed his arms and ignored him

The entire trip was in silence as they avoided the lava spouting out of the ground "Stupid Sandy, staying in his cozy boat, while I'm out here with my husband who's mad at me! What did I do to deserve this, noodle gods?" Pigsy said looking up at the sky, only to let out a shout as a gizer of lava shot three feet in front of him "careful, Piggy. Yhee!" Mei said when she saw the lava gizer "you gotta wonder why Monkey King decided to live here of all places" Mei asked, suddenly her eyes widened at what she saw as well as Pigsy but Tang and MK weren't looking "you know, when Monkey King had to get through the flaming mountains, he actually used Princess Iron Fan's Fan to blow-" Tang was cut off when he heard laughter behind him, he and MK turns around and saw Princess Iron Fan floating in front of them "well, well, well. Aren't you a little monkey king fanboy?" Princess Iron Fan said pulling out her Fan as a blast of lava shot out from the ground behind her 

She placed the tip of her Fan into the blasting lava catching on fire and flings the fire ball at the group, the four scrambling around to get out of the way and managed to just as the fire ball hits the ground Tang, Mei, and MK falling to the ground groaning as Pigsy came up to them "Kids, Tang! Is everyone okay?" Pigsy asked checking for any injuries, Princess Iron Fan snickers as she levitates to the ground with a evil smile "I'll be taking that staff now" Princess Iron Fan said, MK, Mei, and Tang quickly got up "this belongs to the Monkey King, there's no way I'm letting you take it!" MK said gripping the staff tightly "Oh, you're just a little noodle boy, playing at being a hero. Sorry to disappoint, playtime is over" Princess Iron Fan said glaring at the teen. MK leaps towards Princess Iron Fan "MK/Kid! No!" Pigsy and Tang yelled out reaching out to their son, MK twirls the staff and with a yell brings it down, but Princess Iron Fan summoned the gauntlet and stops the staff with a single finger "what?" MK said in shock as he stared at the gauntlet, Princess Iron Fan looked up at him with an unassuming look and grabs the staff smiling, and with a snicker she tossed MK off the staff with a strong blow of wind from her Fan

MK screamed as he was flown into the air as a blast of lava shot up in the air silencing his scream. Tang, Mei, and Pigsy stood there in horror as they watched their friend and son be killed "No! MK!" Mei and Tang said running towards MK, but Pigsy pulled them away as a blast of lava shot up from the ground "Mei, Tang! We've got to go!" Pigsy said tossing Mei onto his shoulders and clutching Tangs hand, as more lava blasts from the ground Pigsy began running back to the boat only stopping to glance back where MK was "sorry, kid" Pigsy said and carried a struggling Mei and dragging a struggling Tang as Princess Iron Fan laughter filled the air "at last! The full power of my beloved will be unleashed!" Princess Iron Fan said as a gust of wind surrounded her "No! Let me go! MK! MK!!" Tang called out reaching out to where his son was flown to but Pigsy held his hand tightly and continued running to the boat "XIAOTIAN!!!!!!" Tang shouted tears falling down his face, Princess Iron Fan eyes widened when she heard the scholar shout that name "what?" Was all she could whispered out before disappearing

Back on the boat the three were in silence as they sailed away from the flaming mountains "he can't be gone. He can't" Pigsy said closing his eyes in sadness "I'm sorry, Pigsy" Sandy said placing a hand on his friends shoulder ".....There was nothing we could do" Tang said in a shakey voice not looking at the others ""nothing"? "Nothing!" Pigsy said in anger as he stomps towards his husband "I could'a done something! I could'a...I should've protected our son" Pigsy said turning Tang around by the scarf closing his eyes to stop the tears, he let out a sigh "it's over" Pigsy said as unshead tears formed in his eyes. Then Tang pulled him into a hug "it's not over. We can't help MK, but we can make sure no more lives are lost, make sure his sacrifice wasn't in vain" Tang said looking at his husband, Sandy placed a hand on his shoulder and Pigsy wiped his eyes from the tears "someone has to fight" Mei said and the others turned to her "Mei?" Pigsy said, Mei let out a sob as she wiped the tears from her face "That Demon Bully is going to..." Mei glared but she pulled up a smile and in a flash a glowing green water dragon appeared roaring before disappearing "pay" Mei said as thunder rumbled and a flash of green lighting appeared from behind her. She was then pulled into a tight hug along with Pigsy and Tang by Sandy "then what are we waiting for?" Sandy asked releasing them "let's go stop some bad guys!" Sandy said smiling as Pigsy and Mei exchange a fist bump

Back in the city, Princess Iron Fan was approaching her husband with the staff in the gauntlet and kneeled down to hand him the staff, Demon Bull King hummed and the staff floated from her hands and towards Demon Bull King's chest, electricity crackled around the staff as it was forced into the furnace, making Demon Bull King roar while purple energy radiated off of him, he then began to grow making his hand into a cannon, Red Son and Princess Iron Fan stared in amazement as Demon Bull King let out a yell as shoulder cannons appeared and with a loud roar the two shoulder cannons blasted purple energy beams into the sky while his wife and son watched with evil smiles
