Chapter 47

Young Qi Xiaotian stared up at the ceiling of his new bedroom, it's been three days and Tang and Pigsy always tried to make the five year old comfortable, but the boy just wouldn't come out of his shell, whenever Tang or Pigsy were in a room with him he would either bury his face in his Monkey King plush, hide behind the doorway, or run to the other room. Tang was getting worried about this but Pigsy assures him that he'll come around in his own time. Qi Xiaotian stood up from his bed, hops off the bed, and walks up to the door. He peaks out the door and walks out the room down the hallway, as he walks down the stairs he looks at the living room to see if the coast was clear, he goes to the living room and looked around the room. When he looked at the bookshelf he spotted a book that caught his attention, he walks up to the bookshelf and saw the book was on a really high shelf, he looks around and pulled a chair towards the shelf

He then started to stack books and pillows up on the chair, when he knew that it was tall enough he climbs onto the chair, onto the books and pillows and reaches for the book, he then stood on his tippy toes and could almost reach the book that he began hopping, as he just grazed the book spine the book and pillows under him collapses and he began to fall down to the ground, but Qi Xiaotian was caught by a pair of arms "gotcha!" A familiar voice said, he looks up and saw Tang "your not hurt anywhere are you?" The scholar asked checking over the five year old, young Qi Xiaotian looked down and quickly shook his head "what were you even doing climbing on something that dangerous?" Tang asked placing the child down, Qi Xiaotian looked up at the bookshelf and pointed at the book. Tang followed his gaze to where he was pointing and pulled out the book "'The Journey to the West'...is that what you wanted?" Tang asked

Qi Xiaotian nodded and looked down, Tang looked at the book and smiled "you know this is one of my favorite stories to read, would you like me to read it for you?" Tang asked, Qi Xiaotian looked up at the scholar and nodded the two went towards the couch and the scholar cleared his throat and opened the book "our story begins on an island called, Flower Fruit Mountain. A paradise filled with dragons, magical birds, monkeys, beautiful flowers of all kind, fruits and Peaches that forever stayed ripe and never rot, and on top of the mountain was a very big rock. One day the rock splits in half revealing a magical stone egg, then the stone egg cracks open to reveal a stone monkey with golden eyes, gold copper fur, and peach face markings" Tang said looking up at the boy for a moment to see his eyes sparkling as he listened "The stone monkey sat up, bows to the four cardinal direction, and accidentally activated his laser eye. The stone monkey didn't take any thought about it and began associating with the other monkeys and played in their favorite river. One day they all decided to follow their favorite river up to its source"

"Whereupon they find that it comes from a big waterfall. So they all decide that they should jump into the waterfall, and if one of them can make it through they'll make them their King. And the stone monkey says that he will do it and jumps into the waterfall, when he reached the other side of the waterfall he finds a gorgeous cavern, with an iron bridge and an enormous stone mansion. The rest of the monkeys followed the stone monkey and was impressed by the the stone monkeys achievement and the stone monkey was then crowned, The Monkey King"

Day 2:

Macaque along with a few monkeys watches as MK and Monkey King spar each other the teen swinging, twirling, and jabbing the staff towards Monkey King who dodges all of them with ease "C'mon kid, are you even trying?" Monkey King said teasingly, MK smirks and sinks into his shadow "huh?" Monkey King said looking around in confusion, while Macaque tried to hold in his laughter as he saw his husband shadow turned into MK while the copper simian looked around in confusion. MK then jumps out of Monkey King's shadow and sweep kick the simian King as the copper simian was in the air the teen raised the staff and slams it down on Monkey King's stomach sending him to the ground hard. Macaque gasped his eyes widened as his mind flash to long ago when Monkey King and Kai fought

"Where did you learn that?!?!" Macaque said standing up and walking towards his son, MK was immediately snapped out of it when he saw his ma coming up to him "I-I..." MK tried to say but Macaque was already up close to him grabbing the collar of his shirt" DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN, DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME, DON'T YOU EVER DO IT AGAIN, DO YOU UNDERSTAND!!!" Macaque shouted, MK was too terrified to answer as he stares at his ma with terror filled eyes "ANSWER ME!!!!" Macaque said shaking his son, but felt strong pair of arms wrapped around him "Macaque, calm down, breathe" Monkey King said hugging the tanned simian gently, Macaque breathes deeply and stared at his son terrified tear filled eyes, he slowly let's go of MKs shirt and the teen ran out of there

"Cub!" Macaque called out reaching out to his son but soon fell to his knees and began sobbing 'he scared of me, my cub is scared of me' Macaque thought tears falling down his face having a panic attack. He felt gentle paws cup his cheeks making him look up at Monkey King "it's alright, he's not scared of you, it's okay" Monkey King said gently pressing his forehead together, Macaque took deep breaths and slowly calmed down "I'll go look for him" Monkey King said kissing Macaque forehead and began walking towards where his son went. He searched for the teen everywhere, when he pushed a large leaf away and spotted MK sitting curled up on a rock next to a crystal clear lake with pink lotus flowers on the pond water "figured I might find you here" Monkey King said walking up to the rock and sitting down next to his son. MK just glance up at his dad and buried his face in his knees

Monkey King looked at his son and back at the lake and couldn't help but smile "you know, this is the place where I first met Macaque" Monkey King said smiling, MK looked up at the copper simian in surprise "it was after I returned from my 9 year travel and training, one of the monkeys told me that a boat made it through the firey ring and was on the island, I went towards where they were and when I reached here I spotted...him" Monkey King said smiling at the memory "he was the most beautiful being I have ever seen, he was sitting on the edge of this lake holding a lotus flower in his hands, I climbed up to get a closer look at the beauty and when I was over him, the branch holding me broke and I fell in the water" Monkey King said, MK held in his laughter while Monkey King rolled his eyes "when I poked out of the water I was really close to him, I quickly moved away, only to fall into the deeper part of the lake, i poked out of the water again and I had a lotus flower on top of my head and he was laughing his head off and soon I began laughing as well" Monkey King said smiling

He then turned to MK placing a hand on his shoulder "Macaque's not mad or angry at you, he's just worried about you since...that move was from Kai" Monkey King said MK gasped in realization "I-I'm sorry...I-I didn't know" MK said burying his face into his knees again. He was pulled into a hug from Monkey King "it's alright, you weren't the only one that he fooled" Monkey King said his tail flickering from side to side in anger at the memory of Kai when they first met "but enough about him, the bastards gone and he won't bother us again" Monkey King said hugging his son tightly. MK soon hugs back and buried his face in his dads neck "now C'mon, let's go to your ma, he's probably worried sick about us" Monkey King said and the two began to head back, when they returned they saw Macaque being cuddled by the monkeys, his ears flickered and he turns around to see his husband and cub "cub!" Macaque said standing up and rushing towards his son but stopped with hesitation, MK saw this and immediately hugged Macaque "I'm sorry, I'll never used that move again, I promise" MK said, Macaque looked down at his cub and hugged back with a gentle smile
