a/n: wonder who it could be.. looks like ur about to find out. no smut :)

eddie's head flicks up as he hears a knock on the door. i look at him confused. he shrugs and gets up and quickly puts on a shirt. i follow him out of his room and to the door. i stand behind him as he opens the door, revealing a girl wearing a cheerleader outfit, looking at eddie then at me.

"Oh god i'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt anything."

she looks at me and i look at her rudely, wondering who this bitch is at eddie's house. he looks down at me

"Go put pants on love"

i nod and quickly kiss his lips, looking at the girl after, walking back into his room. i grab the sweats i was wearing when i first got here, hearing someone walk into the room. i turn around and see eddie. i cross my arms and stand there staring at him.

"Princess, she's just here to buy weed. I promise."

"Okay."

i say quickly, sitting on the bed, arms still crossed. he walks over to me and hooks his finger under my chin to turn my face to his. he leans down and kisses me on the lips softly.

"I swear, there's nothing going on with her, never was and never will. Okay?"

"Yeah yeah whatever. Just do what you have to do."

i pull my head away and look down at the floor, getting a sinking feeling in my stomach. he kisses the top of my head before he walks back out of his room. i hear him talking to her and i hear her name, Chrissy. god. she's so much prettier than me. this is unfair. i get up and walk out of his room, making eye contact with eddie before walking into the bathroom and shutting the door quickly. i sit on the counter and just listen, feeling my eyes getting teary.

"So, who even is that eddie?"

i hear chrissy say. my head flicks up and i listen harder, hearing what eddie has to say.

"Oh that's my.. girlfriend. Y/n"

"Pretty name"

she says. i smile to myself. girlfriend. was he just saying that to her or does he actually want that? either way, i still feel upset. i want eddie all to myself. i don't want him taken by a cheerleader, i can't go through that again. i can't help but to think about my past, letting the tears fall. i rest my hands over my face, still crying. i hear his front door open and close. i sit there listening before hearing the doorknob trying to be turned, followed by a soft knock.

"Y/n. Are you okay in there?"

i don't answer. i don't want him to hear me crying. he knocks louder, his voice sounding more concerned

"Princess please open the door"

i sigh and take my hands off of my face, wiping my tears and looking in the mirror before leaning to unlock the door. eddie walks in as soon as he hears the click and looks at me.

"Oh no sweetheart what's wrong?"

i look him in the eyes before looking back down at the floor, not being able to control the tears. i start crying, covering my face quickly. eddie walks over to me and holds me close, my hands resting on his chest. he rubs my back gently and kisses the top of my head.

"It's okay, let it out"

and i do exactly that. eddie holds me as i just cry, not being able to control it. after a while, i finally calm down and look up to eddie, genuine concern still on his face. i finally speak to tell him what's wrong, my voice cracking as i do.

"In my old town, i had someone like you. Someone i wanted to be with forever and thought i'd never lose. But i did. It was a party, first party i've ever been invited to. I walked into a room and saw him fucking the head cheerleader, the one who invited me. I left the party in tears. I wasted so much time and effort on him."

a tear falls from my face.

"I just don't want to lose you like i lost him."

"And i promise you never will sweetheart. These past few days i've known you, i've connected with you like i've never connected with anyone before. You make me feel different y/n, you make me feel normal"

i smile at him and wipe my cheeks, sniffing slightly.

"So, Chrissy thinks i'm your girlfriend then?"

i ask referring to what i heard while in here earlier. eddie smiles and his cheeks get red

"Yeah. And soon everyone's gonna know it. I wanted to wait for a better time but like i said i've connected with you so well and i really like you"

"I really like you too Eddie."

he smiles before continuing

"I just really want you to be mine always. You're everything i want. So y/n.."

he puts his hands on my face

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

i smile and wrap my arms around him quickly.

"Yes! Yes of course i'll be your girlfriend"

he kisses me softly.

"Thank god. And princess, i promise you have nothing to worry about ever. I'm yours, always."

"And i'm yours."
